Yom Teruah

Today, September 29th 2011, the new moon was spotted by our brethren in Israel. This sighting begins the first of YHVH’s Fall feasts, Yom Teruah. Yom Teruah is the feast which falls on the first day of the seventh month. This means that Friday, Sept. 30th is a “high” Sabbath.

If the skies are clear for you tonight, you too should be able to find the new moon just after sunset near where the sun went down. Everyone will enjoy seeing it because it was placed there just for us, as the sign of the appointment that we are to have with our Creator has begun.

But getting a correct understanding of Yom Teruah, aka the feast if Trumpets, is ssential to our survival in these coming last days. This day is about the raising of the alarm. Nowhere in the scriptures does our Father talk about 100 shofar blasts. Yeshua will not come back on this day. It is not the beginning of the New Year; for heaven’s sake, it is the first day of the seventh month. It is a one day feast, not a two-day feast. So many lies, so many false images, so little time before tribulation begins. Will we be ready? Please join me as we explore the meaning of this day and its significance on the other fall feasts in this 42 minute video.

Some good information Michael. Again most will not listen because their eyes and ears are closed but those that are to hear will hear. Shalom

Just wanted to say thank you for all the good teachings on your web site. I recently watched the one on Yom Teruah. Wow, it is so good to finally be hearing and learning YHVH’s truth.
I feel so blessed YHVH has opened my eyes and can now celebrate the days He says to….

This link is not and article – it is a video.

Here is a note that I wrote to a friend this am after she questioned me about what Torah said.

Leviticus 23:23-25 is certainly written by Moses and are the words of YHVH, but your translation is NOT. It was written by men that want to make it say something that it does not say to satisfy those that love the traditions of men. You obviously did not listen to the video on Yom Teruah or you would not ask such a question.

I am guessing that your bible says something like this.

“Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of BLOWING OF TRUMPETS, a holy convocation. (Lev 23:24)

The word “teruah” has been translated as “blowing” and the “of trumpets” is added all together; it is not there!

A more righteous translation is the Young’s Literal translation:

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, ye have a sabbath, a memorial of shouting, a holy convocation. (Lev 23:24)

Please listen to the vide, this is discussed at length http://weareisrael.org/2010/09/05/yom-teruah/, I am sure that you will find it interesting.

Yeshua has to finish the Yom Kippurim service in the Heavenly Temple before he can return to the Earth. And once it is finished.

He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. (Rev 22:11-12)

There is no more repentance after that time.

What the Christian tradition has done is to tie

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1Co_15:52)

with the polluted translation above and a tradition of the Judaism of blowing the Shofar 100 times on Yom Teruah.

My studied opinion is that Yeshua will return after the 7 trumpets in Revelation which begins with an “messenger” throwing the golden censer which is filled with fire to the earth.

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake. (Rev 8:4-5)

Note: All the trumpets have things falling or happening in the heavens.

And at the 7th and last trumpet in Revelations 11 it says this:

Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Rev 11:15)

Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. (Rev 11:19)

This is the second great shacking of the Earth which advents the arrival of the true Messiah.

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. (13) And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. (14) Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. (15) And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, (16) and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! (17) For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Rev 6:12-17)

    Finally this verse is applicable:

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1Co_15:52)

Here is a note I copied from Nehemia Gordon. I think you will find it helpful.

“At Jerusalem this year, 2.29% of the moon’s surface will be illuminated come sunset on Wednesday, September 28, HOWEVER, this does NOT mean it will be visible to observers from Israel.

Normally, that amount of illumination should make it easy to sight, BUT the lag time (the time between sunset and moonset) will only be 25 minutes. This short lag time means that the moon will set before the light of the sun fades, making it impossible to see the moon.

The moon’s altitude is another factor in visibility. It needs to be at least 5 degrees above the horizon at sunset to be visible, but on that night (Wed, Sept 28), it will only be 4.35 degrees.

Thus, it will not be the 1st day of the 7th month.
The conditions the following evening (7.24% illumination, 72 minute lag time, and an altitude of 12.7 degrees), without doubt, allow for first visibility of the New Moon from Israel, and thus, the 7th month will start the evening of Thursday, September 29th.”
