“Again Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to Israel’s seed: Tell them to make tzitzit [tassels] on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tzitzit [tassels], that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of Yehovah and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your Elohim [ Just who is the “your” in “your Elohim”?]’. ” (Num 15:37-41)
“Thou shall make tzitzit [tassels] on the four corners of the clothing with which thou covers thyself.” (Deu 22:12)
Most Bibles translate the Hebrew words בני ישׂראל (benai Israel) as “the children of Israel,” and the result of this has perverted Yehovah’s word and distorted righteousness for countless numbers of people for centuries. In my writings about the differences between men and women in Yehovah’s kingdom I try to refocus our minds to what His word actually says to help us understand just who Yehovah’s words are written to. Men and women have different duties and responsibilities before the Creator; and I have now written over 60 blogs to help clear up some of this confusion. Four of these blogs in particular will help us understand who benai Israel really is. Not All Men Wear Tzitzit
But please, don’t misunderstand me. I am not saying that all men are to wear tzitzit, especially Gentile men who have never left the kingdom of the birth. I am saying that only the Ezrach, those who have become as ones “born in the land,” are to wear them; not even the Ger wear them. We must understand just who these benai really are. These two precious men in Yehovah’s kingdom are discussed in The Ger and the Ezrach.
Yehovah did not even tell the Ger to wear tzitzit – he told Israel’s seed (benai) to wear them.
“Speak to Israel’s seed [benai Israel]: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. (Num 15:38)
The Ger dwells with the Ezrach (native-born), Israel’s seed.
For seven days no leaven shall be found in your houses, since whoever eats what is leavened, that same person shall be cut off from Israel’s assembly, whether he is a stranger [Ger] or a native of the land [Ezrach]. (Exo 12:19)
“Therefore I said to Israel seed [benai Israel], ‘No one among you shall eat blood, nor shall any stranger [Ger] who dwells among you eat blood.’ ” (Lev 17:12)
“Then you shall speak to Israel’s seed [benai Israel], saying: ‘Whoever curses his Elohim shall bear his sin. And whoever blasphemes the name of Yehovah shall surely be put to death. All the assembly shall certainly stone him, the stranger [Ger] as well as him who is born in the land [Ezrach]. When he blasphemes Yehovah’s name, he shall be put to death. (Lev 24:16)
“You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, for him who is native-born (Ezrach) among Israel’s son and for the stranger [Ger] who dwells among them. But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born (Ezrach) or a stranger [Ger], that one brings reproach on Yehovah, and he shall be cut off from among his people. Because he has despised the word of Yehovah, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him.” (Num 15:29-31)
“And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. It shall be a statute forever to Israel’s seed [benai Israel] and to the stranger [Ger] who dwells among them.” (Num 19:10)
“These six cities shall be for refuge for Israel’s seed [benai Israel], for the stranger [Ger], and for the sojourner (Toshab) among them, that anyone who kills a person accidentally may flee there.” (Num 35:15)
You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native-born [Ezrach] shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made Israel’s seed [benai Israel] dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah, your Elohim.’ ” So Moses declared to Israel’s seed [benai Israel] the feasts of Yehovah. (Lev 23:42-44)
Notice: In the above examples the “Israel seed” and the “one born in the land” or “native-born,” “the Ezrach” are all being used synonymously. The Ger are not Israel’s seed, and only dwell with them. As we study deeper we will see that both the Ezrach and the Ger are always males. A woman is never called a Ger or an Ezrach!
But here is the kicker – the way a Ger becomes as one born in the land [Ezrach] is for HE and all the MEN of HIS household to be circumcised and then eat the slaughtered Passover.
“And when a stranger [Ger] dwells with you [the Ezrach] and wants to keep the Passover to Yehovah, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; AND HE SHALL BE [come] AS A NATIVE OF THE LAND [an Ezrach] For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. One law shall be for the native-born [the Ezrach] and for the stranger [the Ger] who dwells among you.” (Exo 12:48-49)
But if we go still deeper we will find that the בני (benai) of Israel really should be translated as “My son” just as אבי (avi) is “my father” and אדני “adoni” is “my master” or “my lord”. There is no definite article “the” in what has been “traditionally” and erroneously translated as “the children of Israel.” Translated correctly בני ישׂראל (beni Israel) actually should read “my son, Israel,” and even more precisely as, Israel’s seed.” They are the multi-generational descendants of spiritually born men. But that is the topic of another blog.
Men are to follow Yehovah; but most men follow the statues, judgments and ordinances of some kingdom of men; these men are called “Gentiles.” This is the harlotry to which our hearts and eyes are inclined and a violation of the 1st commandment; “thou [2nd person, masculine, singular] shall have no elohim (law-makers and judges) existing before My face.”
Do Women Wear Tzitzit?
A woman, in contrast, is to follow her man and encourage him to do righteousness. She, for the most part, gets what her man gets. In a marriage the man leads his family. If the man is numbered among Israel’s seed (as an Ezrach and son of Yehovah) then his woman (there is now word for wife) becomes Yehovah’s daughter; as an Ezrach he wears tzitzit to remind him to follow only Yehovah, but his woman or any woman is never to wear tzitzit because she is to follow her man. This is consistent with what Yehovah told Chavvah (Eve).
… thy desire shall be for thy man, and he shall rule over thee.” (Gen 3:16)
Yehovah said, “and he shall rule over thee!” – not, ” and I shall rule over thee!”
If Moses were to tell a woman to do anything, he would be usurping her man’s authority. No man, not even the Creator Himself, can tell another man’s woman what to do. She obeys her man!
And if a woman wears tzitzit, which Yehovah told His “benai” to wear, she then is wearing that which pertains to a man and that is not a good idea.
“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to Yehovah, your God. (Deu 22:5)
We are not allowed to add to Yehovah’s word, and Israel’s seed does not include any women.
Few Men Today Are To Wear Tzitzit
Well, this is a lot to think about and demands that we look at our lives and actions in light of what Yehovah’s word actually says. I almost deleted this blog on 1/2/13, and again on 7/23/14 but decided I care too much about you, so I rewrote it once again today, 10/21/15.

I particularly like this design because it reminds me of Israel (all twelve tribes) beginning together, then separating into the two houses and finally, Yehovah bringing us all back together again in the last days.
