Precept 7 – Repentance
After being baptized by John and then spending 40 days in the wilderness Yeshua (Jesus) came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom.
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. (Mar 1:15-18)
Yeshua said repent and follow me. Simon (later Peter) and Andrew did, and their lives were never the same again.
While on his way to Damascus to persecute the followers of Yeshua, Paul also had his life changed. He was on a mission to imprison and kill those followers of Yeshua who had left the authority of men and especially the Rabbinic authorities, and were now learning, doing and teaching true righteousness which is obedience to only YHVH and His ways. After his conversion that day, Paul was never the same again.
From that time on Paul too began to receive persecution; he had to escape from the governor of Damascus by being let down over the city wall in a basket and he received “40 lashes minus 1″ 5 times from the Rabbinic authorities. That day both the civil and religious authorities started persecuting Paul. Why? Because he stopped following the “broad road” and started in the “narrow road,” the way that leads to life, righteousness. He repented!
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [the commonwealth of Israel]. (Mat 5:10)
Many so-called pastors today teach repentance as a turning to the ways of men or the “law of the land.” For the law of the land is all they have because they have rejected the law of Moses and the kingdom of the Father. Of these people Peter writes:
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” (2Pe 2:19-22)
When repentance comes, it is pervasive and the life of the penitent one is never the same again. The “called out” ones, those who had left the kingdom of their first birth and ways of men and had joined themselves to the commonwealth/kingdom of Israel, in Rome were killed out-right, because they did not wish to serve Caesar any longer. They chose death rather than return to the world. That is how it will be in these latter days. The folks who do not come out of the world before the tribulation begins will be required to serve anti-christ or perish. It behooves us now, to repent and fully join ourselves to the commonwealth of Israel; and begin to learn, do and teach His ways.
So they [the disciples who were sent two by two] went out and preached that people should repent. (Mar 6:12)

Excellent. But, we also have made or are making these choices every day. May we each be ready at the moment of trial and be counted worthy to stand on the last day. May Abba bless your ministry. We walk by Faith not by sight.
