Precept 2 – Yah’s Word Endures
Precept 2 – YHVH and His Word Endures Forever
As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them. Psa 103:15-18
The mercy of YHVH is from everlasting to everlasting; it does not and has not changed because YHVH has not changed.
“For I am the LORD, I do not change.Mal 3:6
Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. (27) But You are the same, And Your years will have no end. Psa 102:25-27
And since He is unchanging, so is His word, His Oracles delivered to us through His prophets, especially Moses; who, as we have seen, is the primary filter by which all exegesis must be evaluated. Concerning the words which God had spoken to, and delivered through Moses to us, it is written:
Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever. (Psa 119:152) The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. (Psa 119:160)
Yeshua knew that YHVH’s word endures forever!
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. (Mat 5:17-18)
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Mat 24:35) He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. (Joh 14:24)
Clearly the earth is still here and YHVH still expects His ways kept today and in the future. Because YHVH does not change and His word endures forever, we now have a two precepts that provides us great safety and the ability to discern between a false teacher and one sent from YHVH. Any one who even suggests that YHVH has changed what he expects from His people is a liar.
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)
Peter quoting Isaiah says,
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away: But the word of YHVH endures for ever. (1Pe 1:24-25)

Hello Michael,
Thank you for this teaching, YHVH is unchanging and therefore so is His word. And He expects (commands), for us to keep His ways.
Just think about it, He is unchanging! What makes us His creation think we can change His Laws to suit us. I would say, He knows what is good for us and we should take heed to keep His statues and law!
