Shavuot / Pentecost / Feast of Weeks 2017

Shavuot, Pentecost, Feast of Weeks, Leviticus 23, Michael DidierShavuot, otherwise known as the Day of Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks, is the first fruits of the wheat harvest and a feast that is misunderstood by many. The first fruits that come from our land, Israel’s seed (perversely know as “the children of Israel”), belongs to Yehovah; and the first fruits of His Ezrach, His “born in the land” men will also become His on this day.

Shavuot Is The Day That Yehovah Takes Possessions Of His First Fruits

In my humble opinion – only the Ezrach are the first fruits of the wheat harvest (Shavuot) and will be filled with a double portion of His spirit, on this day, at the beginning of the coming last days. They are the men who are currently becoming wholly His and who will set a righteous example for all who will follow them.

The Pentecost (Shavuot) flames of fire in Acts 2 was only a shadow picture of the “main event,” the appearance of pillars of fire and smoke all over the earth which will take place again in the latter days on Shavuot. Peter, thinking the last days had begun, quoted Joel.

“But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith Yehovah, your Elohim (your lawmaker and judge), I will pour out of My spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And also upon your servants and upon your handmaids I will pour out in those days of My spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yehovah. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah shall be saved.” (Act 2:16-19)

On Shavuot The Whole Earth Will Be Filled With Yehovah’s Set-Apart Men

Of course Peter was wrong; the great and awesome day of Yehovah had not yet come. Here is the beginning of Joel 2, which is all about the coming of the Yehovah’s servants of Yehovah in the last days of the world as we now know it:

Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of Yehovah is coming, for it is at hand: a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations. (Joe 2:1-2)

“Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the sons of Israel were sealed.” (Rev 7:2-4)

Twelve thousand from each tribe are sealed being the “first fruits” to God and to the lamb.” (Rev.14:4)

144,000 sealed on Shavuot

And Yehovah said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” (Eze 9:4)

Yehovah brought fear on the people at Sinai so that they would not sin. Revelation 14 speaks of the 144,000 who “are without fault before the throne of Elohim.” The very next verse tells us about the “angels” (the 144,000 messengers) who begin to preach the “everlasting gospel to all who dwell on the earth on Shavuot; to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. Who say with a loud voice, ”FEAR THE Elohim and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come…” (Rev 14:6-7)

What did it say in Joel 2:1 above?

Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble [fear Yehovah]; for the day of Yehovah is coming [the hour of his judgment has come]…”

Right now Yehovah is looking for a few good men; men who want to be great in His kingdom.

It is His Ezrach, the born in the land men of Yehovah, who will be sealed on Shavuot; no one else! Many believe that we are waiting on Yehovah to begin the last days; I think He is waiting for 144,000 men to separate themselves from the world and enter into covenant/cutting with Him in a true Passover and become His spiritual heirs, His kind, men born in His kingdom.

It was at Sinai that an immense cloud of smoke and trumpets and lightning and thundering and shaking and great fear fell on the people, Israel’s seed.

“Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because Yehovah descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.” (Exo 19:18)

“Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for Elohim has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” (Exo 20:18-20)

The mountain, perhaps even the whole earth, shook in that day (probably Shavuot) when Yehovah spoke and began to give His spiritually born men His commandments, and statutes and ordinances and judgments. Doesn’t it make sense that the 144,000 men of True Israel, those who are His “first fruits” should be sealed by Yehovah on Shavuot? And that they should begin to teach the His people, at least those who are wise enough to come to them and Him, His eternal and unchanging ways just as Moses did?

As Ecclesiastes says:

That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us. (Ecc 1:9-10)

Just like Moses was led by a pillar of fire and smoke, so will each of the 144,000 men who are sealed and sent by Yehovah to lead His people through the tribulation and into the millennial kingdom. That sealing will be on Shavuot.

From the first-fruits of the barley harvest during the feast of unleavened bread, until the first-fruits of the wheat harvest on Shavuot it is 50 days. Most count these days up; is it possible that we should look at these 50 days as a count down?
