Can We Hurt the Creator?
Think about it; how can we hurt the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent Creator of the universe? There is only one way – It is by the rejection of His sole ruler-ship in our lives. He does not want to share His people with other elohiym (lawmakers and judges). YHVH made it very clear that we, His people, are to have no other elohiym but Him. I see His hurt feelings in Ezekiel.
“Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries. Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am YHVH; I have not said in vain that I would bring this calamity upon them.” (Eze 6:8-10)
We hurt YHVH when we asked for a king.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. (1Sa 8:6-7)
But you have today rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, ‘No, set a king over us!’ Now therefore, present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes and by your clans.” And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was chosen. When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was chosen. And Saul the son of Kish was chosen. (1Sa 10:19-21)
In these last days we will all be asked “Who do you serve?” Saul the first king of Israel is a shadow picture of the anti-christ. He will look very good and the majority of the people of the earth will follow Him. But he, like Saul, will not obey the Father fully. Those who have learned, and done, and taught the fathers ways, as Yeshua did, will not be taken in. While most others will!
The good news is “Our God Reigns!” Let’s not break His heart by looking to men for our security and that of our families. Yeshua said, “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Mat 10:28)
When we choose to follow Him exclusively – He will rejoice over us and welcome us into His presence.
