Yeshua is the word made flesh

Recently, while preparing a lesson for our weekly study of the Revelation of John, I was struck by these words.

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God. (Rev 19:11-13)

Oh sure – we have all read Yeshua (Jesus) is the word made flesh but do we really understand this in the deepest places of our heart.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (Joh 1:14)

If Yeshua is the word made flesh, what word did he embody or personify? Certainly not the commentaries of Paul, Peter, James, John or Jude; they had not written a thing before Yeshua was born!

No – The word, that Yeshua taught and lived, was the Law and the Prophets. The very word that we are not to add to or subtract from. The very word that Yeshua said that he did not come to change; not even one jot or one tittle!

“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which YHVH (the LORD) God of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHVH your God which I command you. (Deu 4:1-2)

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away [we are still here], one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 5:17-19)

Yet many of us, myself included until I was 45 years old, have not even read—much more know—much more understand anything about the word that Yeshua made flesh. This is a travesty! Isn’t this neglect of this word hypocrisy, and and in fact taking his name in vain if we say we know him but do not know the word that he made flesh? For repentance and obedience to the YHVH’s word, truly is salvation. Yeshua says,

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. (Mat 7:21)

Man was created to be the image of YHVH; but Adam went his own way and perverted Yah’s image and His kingdom through disobedience and since that time man has been created in the image of fallen Adam. Being born in the image of Adam is every man’s first birth, a birth of water through our mother’s womb.

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Gen 1:27)

And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. (Gen 5:3)

Yeshua is the second Adam; the one that kept the Father’s ways perfectly and restored His image and kingdom on the earth for all to see and learn from. Yeshua’s message from the start was “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Now after John was put in prison, Yeshua came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mar 1:14-15)

And so it is written, “THE FIRST MAN ADAM BECAME A LIVING BEING.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. (1Co 15:45-46)

Because Yeshua, the second Adam, kept YHVH’s ways, he was able to say “if you had known me, you would have known my Father also!”

I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you — Moses, in whom you trust. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (Joh 5:43-47)

If we say that we know Yeshua and we subtract from or add to any of that word, which he made flesh, then we have created a false image in our minds of who Yeshua really is. By taking away the Sabbath (or anything else in Moses and the Prophets) or by changing it in any way we distort Yeshua and the image of our Elohiym on the earth.

But, if we exalt only the word above all else, we exalt Yeshua, the king of Israel!

Yeshua answered and said, “This voice did not come because of me, but for your sake. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” (Joh 12:30-32)

There are many that say that they know YHVH.

Yeshua answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me [YHVH, the Father] with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. In vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’ [Yeshua continues in His own words] For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men— the washing of pitchers and cups, [the changing or ignoring of the Sabbath], and many other such things you do.” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. (Mar 7:6-9)

Yeshua is the word made flesh! You say you know Yeshua? Remember this!

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (1Jn 2:3-6)

Through repentance we begin to learn and do our Father’s ways which were delivered to us through Moses and the Prophets; only then can we come to know both the Father and his son, the King of Israel, and truly be led by their holy spirit into all truth.

Thank you keep up the good work. This is good food.

The problem we are up against is the false Paulian gospel (which Paul, of course, did NOT preach, but whom Law-less men have distorted) where people actually protect lawlessness as a righteousness from God (“Jesus does it all; We do nothing). We are working tirelessly to insert the truth where we can, but there is HUGE resistance to it (at least here, in the Bible-belt).
