Who Is Israel?

whoWho is Israel, Deuteronomy 5, Deuteronomy 6 is Israel? Yesterday we finished Deuteronomy 5 and also went through chapter 6. It is so clear in that context who Israel actually is. Yehovah spoke to Israel, not their women, their children, their servants or even the Ger who dwells with them. Who is Israel? Israel is Yehovah’s spiritually born in the land men, His Ezrach, beni Israel. As we saw last week, it was Israel whom Yehovah gave His commandments to.

Who Is Israel? Israel Is Yehovah’s Son!

Yehovah told Moses,

And thou shall say to Pharaoh. ‘Thus says Yehovah: “Israel is My firstborn male [בכרי, bek-ore]. So I say to thee, let My son [בני, beni] go that he may serve Me.” (Exo 4:22-23)

Israel is Yehovah’s spiritually born son. They serve Yehovah and Israel’s women, children, servants and even the Ger who dwells with them, serve Israel. Israel’s women keep the Sabbath NOT because Yehovah commands them to, but rather because their men require them to do it.

If Moses were speaking to any of Israel’s women, he would be overstepping his authority. Nobody, not even Yehovah, tells another man’s woman what to do. What did Yehovah say to the woman? Only one thing!

To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In pain thou shall bring forth sons. Thy desire shall be for thy man [אישׁך, eesh], and he shall rule over thee.” (Gen 3:16)

That’s it! The woman’s el (lawmaker and judge) is her man, no one else! The man’s Elohim is to be Yehovah, not Obama or any other lawmaker or judge! A woman without a covering in her life has no relationship with Yehovah; so for an uncovered woman, getting a covering is top priority. Her covering is her only place of safety in Yehovah’s kingdom and her link with Him

And Moses called all Israel, and said to them. “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them. Yehovah, our Elohim made a covenant with us in Horeb. (Deu 5:1-2)

The words “Yehovah, your Elohim” or, as my NKJV says. “the LORD your God” show up 283 times in Torah, and 239  of them are in Deuteronomy. These words and many others which I show in this lesson are context clues as to who Yehovah, through Moses, is talking to. He talks to His Ezrach men.

The “Shama” itself has two context clues to help us see that Yehovah is talking to beni Israel, His spiritual seed.

“Hear, O Israel: Yehovah, our Elohim, Yehovah is first! (Deu 6:4)

The two context clues are “Israel” and “Yehovah, our Elohim.”

Join me as we go through Deuteronomy 5 and 6 together and see why we (I am one of them as of 8 years ago), beni Israel teach our sons Yehovah’s statutes, judgments, and ordinance; as they will someday teach their sons.

As you will see, everything I teach fits together perfectly for those who will take the time to learn and grow and discover Yehovah perfect plan for His people, Israel, and those who are covered by them.
