WE ARE ALL EATING “MEAT SACRIFICED TO IDOLS” AND IT NEEDS TO STOP RIGHT AWAY OR WE WILL BE CUT OFF, OR PERHAPS NEVER BECOME, YEHOVAH’S PEOPLE. We must understand the difference between sacrifice vs slaughter.
Yehovah speaks to His spiritually born men who have knowledge, understanding and wisdom that most men do not; just as he spoke to Ezekiel.
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house [family] of Israel [these are all of Yehovah’s spiritually born men, His ezrach, His seed, Israel]; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: (Eze 3:17)
First he warns the wicked men of the earth.
When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. (Eze 3:18)
Then he warns his own people, the righteous men, those who are, or were, learning and doing the ways that lead to life.
“Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.” (Eze 3:19-21)
This series of articles, like all my writings, is designed to help Yehovah’s people (not president Obama’s people, nor king Zuma’s people, nor the people of any other king or president or leader on the earth) become holy as Yehovah is holy. The warning today is this. WE ARE ALL EATING “MEAT SACRIFICED TO IDOLS” AND IT NEEDS TO STOP RIGHT AWAY OR WE WILL BE CUT OFF FROM AMONG YEHOVAH’S PEOPLE, or, never become His people to begin with.
Sacrifice vs Slaughter – I Had Much To Learn
I was eating “meat sacrificed to idols” up until 2 weeks prior to this original writing (2-6-14); I did not understand how we are to treat the clean red meat which comes from our herds (our beef) and from our flocks (our sheep and goats). I could not see the truth because of some very misleading words used by the translators in practically all our Bibles and because of many things that I presumed to be normal and acceptable to Yehovah in this world, which are just not acceptable to Him.
In my weekly Sabbath class were going through Leviticus. In chapters 1-7 we learned about all the offerings [kor-van] that a man (an Ezrach or a Ger) can bring before Yehovah to draw near to Him. Then in Leviticus 17 we discovered how we are to treat our clean meats. This new light has made me once again want to sigh and cry for the abominations that are being done in the world, and even by those who have a great desire to become Yehovah’s set-apart men. The more I learn of Yehovah’s eternal and unchanging ways, the more I realize how far we have fallen. “O Yehovah, help us!”
As I said in part 1 of this series; the she-la-mim or thanksgiving (a.k.a. “Peace offering”) is the only korvan (usually translated as “offering”) that a man can bring to Yehovah, kill it, and then eat it with all the people of his family and friends who are also clean/tahor. If you remember, this she-la-mim is the only korvan that is called a zevach or zeh-vakh [זבח]. This word describes an animal of the herd (beef) or flock (sheep or goat) that is killed and then eaten by an Ezrach (Yehovah’s spiritual son, Israel) and his family, servants and the Ger who dwells with him. I now would like to show you that a slaughter/zevach is always eaten, either as a Passover, she-la-mim, or just meat for all those who are under their covering.
From H2076; properly a slaughter, that is, the flesh of an animal; by implication a sacrifice (Strong)
(זבח, ZBHh) ac: Sacrifice co: Altar ab: ?: The killing of an animal for food or sacrifice (AHLB)
ֶזבח, zeḇaḥ: A masculine noun meaning sacrifice. This word refers to the kind of flesh sacrifice the offerer ate after it was given to God. (WordStudy)
The prefixes and the suffixes of the Hebrew word zevach [זבח], determine whether it is used as a noun or a verb.
The Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Nahor, and the Elohim of their father judge between us.” And Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac. Then Jacob slaughtered [zevach] a slaughter [zevach] on the mountain, and called to his brethren to eat food. And they ate food and stayed all night on the mountain. (Gen 31:54)
And it shall be, when your sons say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ that you shall say, ‘It is the Passover slaughter [zevach] unto Yehovah, who passed over the houses of Israel’s seed in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’ ” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped. (Exo 12:26-27)
But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images (for you shall worship no other elohim, for Yehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous Elohim), lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their elohim and make slaughter [zevach] unto their elohim [you will see that this is what we all do], and one of them invites you and you eat from his slaughter [zevach – most do this every Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas], and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their elohim and make your sons play the harlot with their elohim. (Exo 34:13-16)
“You shall not offer the blood of My slaughter [zevach] with leaven, nor shall the slaughter [zevach] of the Feast of the Passover be left until morning. (Exo 34:25)
And speaking of the Passover slaughter, check this out.
“Gather My saints together to Me, those who have cut a cutting with Me by slaughter [zevach].” (Psa 50:5)
Sacrifice vs Slaughter – We Have Learned Many Lies
There are two things that need to be pointed out in light of what we are beginning to see. First, it is not about “meat sacrificed to idols,” it is about meat which is slaughtered to “idols.” But we will see soon that it is not about “idols” at all, it is about the elohim’ (the law maker’s and judge’s) statutes or regulations which these red meats from the herd (cattle) and flocks (sheep and goats) are slaughtered to. “O M G!”
And finally, Yeshua was not slaughtered [zevach], he was killed [shaw-khat] by people who were not Yehovah’s people, just like so many other men of Elohim have been.
What I want you understand now is that slaughtered meat is always eaten. And with that in mind we will begin talking about Yehovah’s instructions for the domestic meats (cattle, sheep and goats) which His people eat in Leviticus 17; the slaughter which Yehovah’s seed brings to Him and then is eaten by him, his friends and those under his covering.
