“What is enosh [×× ×•×©× – man, pronounced e-noosh’] that You remember him, and the son [בן– ben] of man [××“× – adam] that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the Elohim (God, not angels), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen– even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas. O Yehovah, our master, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!” Psa 8:4-9
“What is enosh [×× ×•×©× – man], that You should exalt him, that You should set Your heart on him, that You should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?” (Job 7:17-18)
“Thou turns enosh [×× ×•×©× – man] to contrition; and says: ‘Return, you son of man [××“× – adam].” (Psa 90:3)
The psalmist quoted above wrote what is enosh [×× ×•×©×– man] that You “remember” and ” visit” him? Yehovah, our Creator, made the man to have dominion over the earth. Unfortunately for men today, this is not the case because of our rebellion to Yehovah’s ways and our love for the ways of men.
Yehovah is mindful of the enosh (×× ×•×©] who will humbly make His ways their ways, but not men in general. He does not even hear the prayer of a man who does not love His Torah, His instructions concerning how all men are to live and guide their families. Knowing who we are in relation to our Creator will give our minds a clearer image to build His truth on and the right attitudes to commune with Yehovah as He desires.
