Intentional And Unintentional Sin

TzitzitI am amazed at how much we, who call ourselves Yehovah’s people, are involved in unintentional sin. The more I study Torah the more I see just how far we have gone away from Yehovah’s eternal and unchanging ways. But there is something worse than unintentional sin, it is the sin which is done openly for all to see and emulate; this open rebellion bring a reproach on Yehovah!

This chapter (Numbers 15) finishes with a discussions of why only Yehovah’s son, the Ezrach, wear tzitzit and is certainly related to unintentional sin for many today.

In the first part of Numbers 16 we will see 254 men, leaders of Yehovah people, who “look” honorable but are the first to be destroyed at the beginning of our 40 years in the wilderness; all because we would not believe Yehovah and hear and obey Moses.

Getting Started

New to Hebrew roots and just getting started in the faith that Yeshua (Jesus) lived and taught? Here is series of FIVE progressive articles and videos designed to teach people how to study and understand the word for themselves.

We have all been trained to walk on the broad road; we have gone to broad road schools, watched broad road TV, listened to broad road radio and read broad road newspapers. We have become civilized according to the doctrines and commandments and traditions of men and have never learned the ways of Yehovah (the LORD). Now is the time to repent, join ourselves to Yehovah’s people, True Israel and begin our walk on the narrow road.

The first thing everyone needs is a great Bible study Program; e-Sword is Free and very powerful. You MUST have it and learn to use it if you want to learn to be holy as Yehovah is holy.

Now we must find out who this “Church,” this ecclesia, this “called out People of Yehovah Elohim” are. To do this, please read Defining the Church.

40 Days of Repentance?

40 daysToday (August 24th, 2017)  is the 1st day of the 6th month according to Yehovah’s calendar. Judaism has this day as the beginning of a 40 day period of repentance leading up to the 10th day of the 7th month (expected to be Sunday, October. 1st) which is Yom Kippurim, the day of coverings (aka Day of Atonement). But where is this 40 days of repentance in the Torah? Doesn’t that bother anyone? Is this man-made period just another buffer set up in Judaism to protect the Torah by adding days? Is that allowed?

40 days of repentanceYou shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your Elohim which I command you. (Deu 4:2)

Yom Kippurim is for a covering of all Israel. To me, it seems as though the 1st day of the 6th month is a replacement by Judaism for what is supposed to be happening on the 1st day of 7th month according to Torah. That day, is Continue reading 40 Days of Repentance?

Did Yeshua Make The Word Flesh?

word made flesh, John 1 14, who is Jesus, who is Yeshua, word fleshIf Yeshua made the word flesh, then what word did he embody? Certainly not the commentaries of Paul, Peter, James, John or Jude; they had not written a thing before Yeshua was born!

No, the words which Yeshua made flesh, the words he taught and lived were the Law (the Torah (Yehovah’s instruction on how all men are to live) and the Prophets; they are the words that we are not to add to or subtract from. The very word that Yeshua said that He did not come to change; not even one jot or one tittle!

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away [we are still here], one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Mat 5:17-19)

“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yehovah (the LORD) Elohim (God) of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your Elohim which I command you.” (Deu 4:1-2)

Yet many of us, myself included until I was 45 years old, have not even read — much more know — much more understand — anything about the words which are to be made flesh. This is a travesty! Isn’t this neglect of the Creator’s word, hypocrisy or perhaps even taking His name in vain if we “say” we know Yehovah but do not know His word?  Yehovah’s word, for a man, is life.

For the commandments are a lamp, and the Torah a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life. (Pro 6:23)

“The man” was created to be the image of Yehovah; but “the man” went his own way and perverted Yehovah’s image and His kingdom through disobedience and since that time man has been created in the image of fallen man. Being born in the image of this fallen man is every man’s first birth, a birth of water through our mother’s womb.

“So Yehovah created “the man”in His own image; in the image of Yehovah He created him; male and female He created them.” (Gen 1:27)

“And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.” (Gen 5:3)

Yeshua’s message from the start was “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

“Now after John was put in prison, Yeshua came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of Elohim, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Elohim is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.’ ” (Mar 1:14-15)

If we say that we know Yehovah and we subtract from or add to any of His word, then we have created a false image in our minds of who Yehovah really is. By taking away the Sabbath (or anything else in Moses and the Prophets) or by changing it in any way we distort the image of Yehovah, the Elohim of the earth.

But, if we exalt only the Yehovah’s word above all else, we, like Yeshua, exalt Yehovah and His eternal and unchanging word given through Moses and His other Prophets. There are many who “say” that they know Yehovah.

“Yeshua answered and said to them, ‘Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ”This people honors Me [Yehovah, the Creator] with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. In vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’ [Yeshua continues in his own words] For laying aside the commandment of Elohim, you hold the tradition of men— the washing of pitchers and cups, [the changing or ignoring of the Sabbath], and many other such things you do.’ He said to them, ‘All too well you reject the commandment of Elohim, that you may keep your tradition’. ” (Mar 7:6-9)

Every Man Was Created To Make Yehovah’s Word Flesh In Their Life

Men, do you want to know the Creator? Then learn to make His word flesh in your life.

Through repentance we begin to learn and do the Creator’s ways which were delivered to us through Moses and His other Prophets; only then can we come to know Yehovah and truly begin to make His word flesh for all to see.

Precept 11 – Grace

YHVH (the LORD), the Creator and God (Elohim) who reveals Himself so wonderfully in the Law and the Prophets, is no different that the Elohim spoken of in the New Testament. YHVH does not change and His word endures forever. To think otherwise is to harbor a false image in our mind that will prevent us from seeing and living in His eternal kingdom. Correcting these false images and providing the intellectual tools to search out the truth of the scriptures for ourselves is the purpose of this series of writings.

One of the greatest false images that we embrace in our minds and then incorporate into our actions is a false image of what “grace” actually is. The majority of those who call themselves Christians have used this false idea of grace as a “get out of jail free card.Continue reading Precept 11 – Grace

Precept 8 – We are a vapor

We are a vapor, here on this earth for just a few seconds in eternity.

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (Jas 4:13-14)

“My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, And are spent without hope. Oh, remember that my life is a breath! My eye will never again see good. (Job 7:6-7)

Indeed, You have made my days as hand-breadth, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them. (Psa 39:5-6)

Born – Died

The day of our birth and the day of our death is not what is important, but the dash in the middle, representing all the things that we do in between those two dates, means everything. Continue reading Precept 8 – We are a vapor
