Right now men and women alike are leaving some of the more overt doctrines and traditions of men which we have learned in our “Christian” and “Jewish” upbringings; but there is much that we have learned which we still accept as truth, things that do not promote Yehovah’s image and ways in the earth. Our understandings, really lack of understandings, concerning head coverings are some of the most egregious of them all; and because of these lies women, especially, have a false sense of security.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. (Pro 14:12)
Oh my, “way of death” is right!
Yehovah’s men and women each have their own specific duties and responsibilities which we must adhere to if we are to be Yehovah’s light in the world. Unfortunately, those who simply only say they are His but do not conform their lives to His created purpose for them will receive even greater judgment.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! … Because they have rejected the law of Yehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. (Isa 5:20-21, 24)
Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled Elohim’s seed [perversely know as “the children of Israel”]underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the spirit of grace? (Heb 10:28-29)
The priests of Yehovah were instructed to teach the difference between holy and unholy and between tahor (clean) and tamei (unclean).
“And that ye may put a difference between holy and unholy, and between tahor and tamei; and that ye may teach Israel’s seed all the statutes which Yehovah hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.” (Lev 10:10-11)
Translating tahor and tamei as “clean” and “unclean” hardly does these words justice. A woman that separates herself from her husband and others during her menses is living in the realm of tahor; that which is acceptable and useful in producing Yehovah’s image and ways on the earth for all to see. Those who don’t separate themselves are walking in the realm of tamei; and thus distorting Yehovah’s image and ways in the world.
All this said, there are many ideas from the New Testament commentaries which we have accepted as true and begun to walk in that are not consistent with the very words that Yeshua, Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude all supposedly taught from; these are the words given to us through Moses and Yehovah’s other Prophets.
When did we stop being good Bereans who listen to what Paul, or anyone, has to say and not searched the word for ourselves?
Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Act 17:10-11)
To the Torah and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)
There Are No Head Coverings In Torah
Where are the cloth head coverings in Torah, or the Prophets for that matter? Folks, they are not there! We have built yet another doctrine of men that is in the realm of tamei; not acceptable or useful for presenting Yehovah’s image on the earth . In fact, it may be worse to wear a cloth head covering if it makes other women believe that by wearing it they are somehow more “righteous.” Ha – a “righteous woman“, there is a concept that you will never find in Torah; but that is a story for another day.
Head Coverings Are Men!
The head coverings that women need in Torah is their man! I have written many articles on this subject which can be found under the “Creation of woman” tab on my blog and five of them specifically talk about a “Woman’s Place of Safety.” That place is under her man’s covering.
Cloth Head Coverings Do Not Make A Women Acceptable Before The Creator
Oh, it is a lot easier for a woman to leave her man, put a piece of cloth on her head and believe she is somehow following Yehovah, instead of humbling herself and learning to actually follow only her man. Again, these cloth head coverings are not in line with His eternal and unchanging ways. These false images that so many have adopted, come from 1 Corinthians 11 which starts out by saying,
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.
For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. (1Co 11:3-6)
This commentary is not about head coverings, it is about who we serve. Most translators and teachers want to make this all about cloth and ignore what Moses actually said and it is much easier to collect money if they continue to promote this false image.
But I say, what Yehovah says,
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says Yehovah. Therefore thus says Yehovah, Elohim of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says Yehovah. (Jer 23:1-2)
Yehovah’s desires that there be no uncovered women running around in His kingdom. This is why he commands Israel, his Ezrach men, to care for their widows and fatherless. Even the captives and maid-servants have a master, an adon.
I did however find one reference to a woman having her head shaved and it adds some very interesting information to this discussion.
“When thou go out to war against thy enemies, and Yehovah, thy Elohim delivers them into thy hand, and thou take them captive, and thou see among the captives a beautiful woman, and desire her and would take her for they woman, then thou shall bring her home to thy house, and she shall shave her head and trim her nails. She shall put off the clothes of her captivity, remain in thy house, and mourn her father and her mother a full month; after that thou may go in to her and be her master, and she shall be thy woman. And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shall set her free, but thou certainly shall not sell her for money; thou shall not treat her brutally, because thou has humbled her. (Deu 21:10-14)
This woman is having her head shaved because she now has no covering. Her father and mother are gone. I am guessing she is a virgin as well. Now she is alone and uncovered; the shaving of her head is a physical reminder of her spiritual condition. She has 30 days to adjust to this new man becoming her master. If she rebels, she faces a very uncertain future. Getting put out of this man’s household with her hair having grown for just a single month is a sign saying “Uncovered Woman!” which will now make her prey to all of the undesirable and wicked men in the land. I would venture that slavery or whoredom is in her probable future since she has no money. What good man is going to want a woman that another man found unacceptable?
This reminds me of what Pharaoh told his daughter Hagar when he sent her to be a handmaid to Sarai.
Jasher 15:31 And the king took a maiden whom he begat by his concubines, and he gave her to Sarai for a handmaid.
32 And the king said to his daughter, It is better for thee, my daughter, to be a handmaid in this man’s house than to be mistress in my house, after we have beheld the evil that befell us on account of this woman.
The covering for a man of the Elohim of heaven and earth is to obey only Him! If a man is subject to any other elohim (law makers and judges) he has his head covered by someone besides Yehovah. Most of us (men) have done this voluntarily by following the broad road and doing what everyone else does. Men, unless they are slaves, are to serve only Yehovah, the Elohim of Israel.
This is what Paul is talking about when he says,
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. (1Co 11:4)
Yehovah’s 1st commandment to Israel’s seed was,
Thou shall have no other elohim [law makers and judges] existing before My face. (Exodus 20:3)
This time Paul had it right in light of Torah!
When a man learns to lay down his life in service to Yehovah, the king of Israel, he is doing righteousness and is properly covered by Him. And, when a woman learns to lay down her life in service to her man, she becomes a woman of worth and also has a proper head covering.
A woman with her head shaved, or a woman who should have her head shaved because she has no man to serve, is a sign to the world that she is uncovered and out of sync with Yehovah’s created purpose for her; this is not honorable or fashionable, it’s a travesty. All women are meant to have head coverings.

Thank you for this teaching. Makes me wonder why woman wears a veil when getting married. I did too, but never gave it any thought at that time.
Shabbat Shalom

Shalom Brother Michael. Thank you for this study it has helped me and answered some questions I had and i was on the same page as your thinking. Again Thank you Brother
Shalom Michael, thank you so much for this article, it has answered a very big question for me. You are a big blessing to me. Ahava. Marlize
Question: Who is the covering for an adult female whose parents are deceased and she has never married? Her parents’ male siblings are deceased as well.
I have been curious about this for some years. I have considered Yeshua and Yaweh as my covering. I am the woman in the question.
Hello Pocopat and thank you for writing!
A covering is not a covering unless you live with your man and serve him. You are fatherless, that usually get translated as an orphan, and age makes no difference. Your brother is a great choice. I wrote a series of 4 articles on “Widows and Orphans” the link to it is in this writing. Please read all 3 parts.
I wish there were some way that I could convey just how important a covering is; it is a matter of eternal life or death. Nobody understands how a woman becomes one of Yehovah’s people and then later a daughter. But I’ll give you a hint to help begin you understanding this very deep subject. It has to do with who the woman belongs to and weather or not her man is a Ger or an Ezrach.
There is a reason 7 women will join themselves to one man in the coming last days.
And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach.” (Isa 4:1)
If he (a man) takes another woman, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marriage rights. (Exo 21:10)
This all has to do with the covering for a woman. The “Creation of woman” is a great place to start learning about this life saving subject.
Michael
Shalom Michael, it’s an interesting read about the head covering. I’m wondering about this many times over the last couple years. I joined this Sabbath gathering 3 years ago. I am 46 and never been married and both my parents are still alive and no brothers and lots of uncles and cousins. When there’s Passover coming, I learned that I’m foreigner. Since my master (my dad) is Christian and does not practice Passover, the scripture said that foreigner can not enter Passover. So my group suggested that I pick a man in the group to be my master, so I did. We and the teacher discussed about our roles, then we made an agreement to be master and woman. We do not live together. He is like a second father taking care of me. Then I can do Passover. So is that how to do it?
Dear Becky,
It is so nice to hear from you again. We haven’t talked for several years and it sounds like you are doing your best to move ahead in kingdom ways. I’m so pleased to hear that you are willing to modify your life to adapt to Yehovah’s ways, so few people (men and woman alike) will do that.
As a man can only serve one master, so too can a woman only have one master. A master (father, husband or otherwise) is who a woman serves on a daily basis. So having a master that you do not live with is unprecedented in the scriptures. I have many articles that I have but together for women. They could possible give you some better direction. Here is a good place to start. http://weareisrael.org/woman-of-worth/
As far as Passover is concerned the “foreigner” that Yehovah is speaking of is a “ben nekar” or “foreign son”. You are a “nokree” or “foreign” woman, but that is not who Yehovah is referring to in His Passover instructions. Please read my writings concerning how a Gentile becomes a Ger (stranger) and then how a Ger becomes an Ezrach (“Native-born” or “spiritual man”), Israel. http://weareisrael.org/born-again-series/journey-begins/
Please, let talk again on here once you do some additional research.
With Love,
Michael
What about Numbers Chapter 5? Verse 18 specifically states that the priest shall uncover the woman’s head……?
Dear Chalimar,
In order to understand your question, we must understand the context that your question appears in. This is the chapter regarding the Law of Jealousy. When a priest comes into the presence of Yehovah, even they are required to wear a head covering, and of course no one else except the priests come into the tabernacle, ESPECIALLY not a woman. But here is a woman who is in trouble, she has potentially been unfaithful to her man, her covering. Now she is in trouble and, like Eve, has to come before Yehovah. The head covering that she wore into this sacred place is then removed and her sins, or lack of sins are laid out bear before Yehovah.
Michael
So in the Kingdom of Yehovah. Will Ezrach Women be still birth?
If I remeber….Spiritual seed births Spiritual seed. If Ezrach men could do that so could the women but with their own kind, right?
Also when are u going to make more videos on youtube? lol just asking brother.
Ezrach are men, who may have women who have joined with them, they can give them sons and daughters. Men teach their sons and other men Yehovah’s ways so they too can come into covenant with Him at Passover and become spiritual men. I love Isaiah 54! Spiritual Son, Who Bears Him?
You will never find a an “Ezrach woman” or even a “righteous woman” in the Tanach, but you will find “A Woman Of Worth” I am always looking for women like that!
There are those women, like myself, who unfortunately have had to flee very violent and abusive husbands. Domestic abuse is REAL…and no woman should ever feel like she MUST SUBMIT AND ACCEPT THAT TREATMENT. That being said, where is it in scripture that I now must find myself another man? My “husband” refuses to send me off with a “bill of divorcement”. I’ve never heard of this concept and would like to see the biblical support. Thank you.
I have written much for women. Here is a good place to begin. A Place Of Safety For A Woman.
Shalom Michael. I have just found these teachings. Our Father led my husband to submission with His instructions a few years ago and he in turn has led our children and I to them. I struggled greatly with accepting this at first. I was not brought up to follow anything other than lusts of the flesh..and when He came for me..I spent many years following what most modern churches teach. I struggled to understand what is right. In the end, I had to admit and accept my husband is a man who seeks our Father’s face and glory with all his strength, heart, and soul. So I chose to submit as well, knowing that if He led my husband here, it was not a mistake or wrong. I was abused most of my childhood and as a young wife so long ago I struggled to understand submission and virtuous living. I didn’t understand the roles or how my role greatly influenced the temperament in my home. I am saddened to say, I caused a lot of heartache before I came to understand obedience to His design. I keep my head covered and have for some time now. Because for me I need a physical reminder of the order of things. I do not see it as my worth.. but as a physical reminder that my husband is to be the head and I am his beloved whom he covers. I don’t see anything wrong with doing this, but if there is scripture that speaks to the contrary would you please share? I want to be sure that it’s not spoken against, because I was not taught this or shown this by anyone but felt led that I should do so to keep it forever on my mind and before me. Thank you brother.
Bless your husband loving and obedient heart Casondra. My advice to any woman is follow your man.
Here is the first of 6 articles I wrote about a woman following her man, whether he is right or wrong.
