Yehovah does not change and His word endures forever.
As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the Yehovah is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to son’s sons, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.(Psa 103:15-18)
Yehovah Does Not Change
The mercy of Yehovah is from everlasting to everlasting; it does not change because Yehovah has not and can not change.
“For I am the Yehovah, I do not change. (Mal 3:6)
Of old Your laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak, You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will have no end. Psa 102:25-27
Yehovah’s Word Endures Forever
And since He is unchanging, so is His word, His Oracles delivered to us through His prophets, especially Moses; who, as we have seen, is the primary filter by which all exegesis must be evaluated. Concerning the words which God (Elohim)Â had spoken to, and delivered through Moses to us, it is written:
Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever. (Psa 119:152)
The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. (Psa 119:160)
Yeshua knew that Yehovah’s word endures forever!
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. (Mat 5:17-18)
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Mat 24:35)
Clearly the earth is still here and Yehovah still expects His ways to be kept today and in the future. Because Yehovah does not change and His word endures forever, we now have two precepts that provide us great safety and the ability to discern between a false teacher and one sent from Yehovah. Any one who even suggests that Yehovah has changed ANYTHING concerning what He expects from His people, is a liar.
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)
Peter quoting Isaiah says,
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away: But the word of Yehovah endures for ever. (1Pe 1:24-25)
Hello Michael,
Thank you for this teaching, YHVH is unchanging and therefore so is His word. And He expects (commands), for us to keep His ways.
Just think about it, He is unchanging! What makes us His creation think we can change His Laws to suit us. I would say, He knows what is good for us and we should take heed to keep His statues and law!
This is wonderful teaching Michael!
Yes, wonderful, wonderful teachings
. . If i may say so. Hashem must not be easily used in front of many ignorant people. And not as a everyday language. With all due respekt i suggest a different approach.
Help is om the way:-).
Yehovah Himself says, “… ‘Then you shall know that I, Yehovah (יהוה), have spoken it and performed it,’ says Yehovah (יהוה). †Eze 37:14
This is why He commands His Ezrach men, true Israel, to take oaths in His name.
Most people can recite “the lords prayer”, but do not even know what His hollowed name is. This is a tragedy because when all is said and done only those who call on Yehovah’s name can be saved.
Joel says,
I am a Christian and believe Jesus is the son of God who died on the cross for my sins. I am confused. My understanding was to be a Messianic meant that you believed our Savior has come, died, rose again and saved us by taking our place on the cross.
You still have much to learn Cookie. I felt the same for most of my life. I was so confused by the doctrines and traditions of men and did not know the actual words that Yehovah spoke through Moses and His other prophets. Keep searching. There is much on this site that will help you gain knowledge and understanding.
