The feasts of Yehovah (the LORD) paint a panorama of what we can expect in these last days, but to believe that any one of them has reached complete fulfillment and has no bearing on the future is a grave mistake.
[Note: Here is our current Hebrew Calendar.]
Yehovah said:
“Whom will He teach knowledge? And whom will He make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts? For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.” (Isa 28:9-10)
Can a toddler understand the message? NO! Only the mature man of the word can receive the message.
What is Yehovah’s message for His people? Could it be the same beautiful message that the man on the mountain will bring, or the message that John the Baptist, or Yeshua, or even Paul, brought? Their message was “the kingdom of Heaven is at hand, REPENT and believe the good news; our God (Elohim) reigns!“
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “your Elohim (lawmaker, judge) (God) reigns!” (Isa 52:7)
“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!’ ” (Mat 3:1-2)
“Now after John was put in prison, Yeshua(Jesus) came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of Elohim, and saying; ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Elohim is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.’ “Â (Mar 1:14-15)
True Israel
Understanding the message and the feasts cannot be done without understanding who True Israel really is, and who they are not. I make a distinction between the STATE OF ISRAEL, those who follow the laws of a man-made government with its statutes, judgments and ordinances, those who trust in its Military Intelligence, tanks, ground to air missiles, planes, etc, etc, etc and True Israel, those who have repented, left the king and kingdom of their birth started learning and doing our heavenly Father’s statutes, judgments and ordinances and have now come into covenant with Him at Passover.
To understand the feasts of Yehovah we must also make a distinction between two different types of men who reside in His kingdom.
When a man repents and turns from his ways and the ways of the world, to Yehovah’s ways, he becomes a Ger. This mane no longer has citizenship in any other kingdom on earth; he has joined himself (and his family) to True Israel and has become a citizen of that holy nation, or commonwealth, through repentance and then a public expatriation (that is what baptism was originally). The Ger keeps all the statues, judgments and ordinances that True Israel keeps.
“‘You shall have the same law for the stranger [Ger] and for one from your own country [Ezrach]; for I am Yehovah, your Elohim.‘ ” (Lev 24:22)
“One law shall be for the native-born [Ezrach] and for the stranger [Ger] who dwells among you.” (Exo 12:49)
The Ger has left the country of his first birth and joined himself and his family to the holy, but now invisible, nation of True Israel. When Yeshua (Jesus) was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of heaven would come, his reply was,
“The kingdom of Elohim does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of Elohim is within you.” (Luk 17:20-21)
The kingdom is within us when we repent and join ourselves to True Israel.
But wait, there is more! Each year the Ger has the opportunity to become ‘as one born in the land,‘ whether he has ever even seen the land or not. (This was the case with all those who ate of the Passover back in Egypt, they became as ‘one born in the land’ even though the majority of them had never even seen it and never would).
The instructions for the Ger concerning the Passover reads:
“And when a stranger [Ger] dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to Yehovah, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall become as a native of the land [an Ezrach]; for no uncircumcised person shall eat it.” (Exo 12:48)
Passover is the only feast where we as Gerim (those who have joined themselves to True Israel by repentance and baptism) may now actually become ‘as one born in the land.’
This man (the new Ezrach) is True Israel! He has eaten of the Passover lamb and placed the blood on his door. He is the one that is ‘Born Again‘ as Yeshua said we all must be. The Ezrach is the one who is born, a second time, into a “spiritual” kingdom, the land of his second birth. These two people (the Ger and the Ezrach) are discussed at great length in this series of articles. The Journey Begins Here!
The feasts of Yehovah are for Israel, first on an individual basis and then on a corporate basis. The Spring feasts are for the individual and the Fall feast are for the corporate body of True Israel. Except for one Sukkot every 7 years, only Israel seed and the males who dwell with them attend the feasts of Yehovah.
“Three times a year all thy males [זכור, za·kur] shall appear before Yehovah, thy Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before Yehovah empty-handed. (Deu 16:16)
“Three times in the year all thy males [זכור, za·kur] shall appear before the master Yehovah, Elohim of Israel. (Exo 34:23)
The Feasts of Yehovah
Passover and Unleavened Bread
(From the evening of the 14th day of the 1st month, until the evening of the 21st day)
The Passover is the only time each year when the Ger may literally become ‘as one born in the land,’ an Ezrach. The Creator is so merciful that He even gives us a second chance to repent and keep it in the second month and still become an Ezrach before the ‘first fruits of the wheat harvest’ (Shavuot).
First Fruits of the barley harvest
(The Sunday that comes during the seven-day Feast of Unleavened bread)
This is the day Israel brings the first fruits of the barley harvest and the day begins the 50 day count down towards Shavuot.
Shavuot or Pentecost or Feast of Weeks (First fruits of the wheat harvest)
(Is exactly 50 days (a jubilee period) after, and counting the first fruits of the barley harvest above, or 7 Sabbaths and one day after that same feast.)
In my humble opinion – only the Ezrach are represented in the wheat harvest, but only a select group of them will be waved before Yehovah and filled with a double portion of His spirit at the beginning of the coming last days. The Pentecost in Acts 2 was only a shadow picture of the “main event” which will take place in the latter days. You can be sure that all those faithful believers in Acts 2 kept a True Passover and were later empowered to proclaim the “good news” of Yehovah’s kingdom throughout the earth.
Joel speaks of the coming last days when the servants will be sealed and raised up to take the earth for Yehovah. This will happen on Shavuot before the earth gets turned into a wilderness:
“Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of Yehovah is coming, for it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.” (Joe 2:1-2)
“Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim on their foreheads.’ Â And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of Israel’s seed were sealed.” (Rev 7:2-4)
Twelve thousand from each tribe are sealed,
“being the “first fruits” to Elohim.” (Rev.14:4)
Only True Israel, the Ezrach, will be sealed on this day; no one else!
Shavuot also appears to be the same day that Yehovah spoke to Israel’s seed (a.k.a. and perversely know as “the children of Israel) at Sinai, the same day that there was an immense cloud of smoke and trumpets and lightning and thundering and shaking and great fear among the people.
“Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because Yehovah descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.” (Exo 19:18)
“Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, ‘You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.’ And Moses said to the people; ‘Do not fear; for Elohim has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.’ “Â (Exo 20:18-20)
The mountain, perhaps even the whole earth, shook in that day that Yehovah spoke and began to give us His commandments, and statutes and ordinances and judgments. Does it make sense that the 144,000 men of True Israel, those who are the “first fruits” should be sealed by Yehovah on this day? It was Peter in Acts 2 that called our attention to Joel, and especially chapter 2, which speaks of the 144,000 chosen of Yehovah. It is worth the read in this context but too long for this note.
The people trembled with fear that day at Sinai and that also is just a shadow picture also of the main event. Revelation 14 speaks of the 144,000 who “are without fault before the throne of Elohim.” The very next verse tells us about the angel (messenger) that has the “everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people saying with a loud voice, “FEAR Elohim and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come…” (Rev 14:6-7)
Yom Teruah – the Day of Shouting an alarm
(The 1st day of the 7th month)
Each month True Israel is commanded to sound their shofars, and the priests their silver trumpets.
“Blow the trumpet (shofar) at the time of the new moon, at the full moon on our solemn feast day. For this is a statute for Israel, A law of the Elohim of Jacob.” (Psa 81:3-4)
“Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the slaughters of your peace offerings; and they shall be a memorial for you before your Elohim: I am Yehovah your Elohim.” (Num 10:10)
Yom Teruah is a day of shouting and alarm. “There are only 10 days left” for the wicked to repent of their wickedness and join themselves to True Israel. Each month throughout the year the reminder, the warning cry, has been blown; the seventh month is coming and soon it will be too late to repent. Now is the time, seize the moment and repent!
Yom Kippurim or The Day of Atonement/Coverings
(The 10th day of the 7th month)
The day of Coverings is the day that the High Priest covers himself, his family, the altar, the holy place and ALL Israel; Ger and Ezrach alike. If ya ain’t True Israel, ya ain’t covered. And there is a “main event” coming for this day also in which those who have not joined themselves to True Israel will never again have the opportunity. It will be on that day that the High Priest will throw down His censer to the earth and as He steps out of the temple will proclaim:
“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” “And behold, I (Yehovah) am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” (Rev 22:11-12)
Some future Yom Kippurim will be the last chance for the wicked to turn from their ways and embrace the ways of the Creator.
Feast of Sukkot or Tabernacles
(The 15th day through the 21st day of the 7th month)
“‘You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native [Ezrach] to Israel shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made Israel’s seed dwells in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah your Elohim.’ So Moses declared to Israel’s seed the feasts of Yehovah.” (Lev 23:42-44)
Notice: The native-born (Ezrach) are Israel’s seed and the heirs of Abraham as well! Becoming Ezrach, Israel, is what my “Born Again” series is all about. All Yehovah’s feast instructions are for Israel’s seed; look at the last verse of Leviticus 23.
“So Moses declared to Israel’s seed the feasts of Yehovah.” (Lev 23:44)
The feast, which begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, is actually an eight-day feast but Yehovah commands the Ezrach, Israel’s seed, to dwell in booths for only seven days as seen above.
“Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of Yehovah for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.” (Lev 23:39)
I find it interesting that in an eight-day feast Israel’s seed dwell in booths for only seven days. Could this be a shadow picture of how Yehovah’s righteous men (with their families and perhaps their servants) are to dwell on the earth for 7000 years?
The Last Great Day or Shemini Etzeret
(The 22nd day of the 7th month)
The Feast of Tabernacles is a seven-day feast; this day is the eighth day and set-apart from the seven. Is it possible that it is we who dwell in the temporary shelters of our flesh for seven thousand years? To me, this Last Great Day is a day of new beginnings which is also understood by the Hebrew numeral eight, representing new beginnings. Could this day represent a new heaven and a new earth? Could it represent eternity, the time after the millennial kingdom? I do not have a full picture in my mind concerning this day; but I will at some point.
Well these are my thoughts concerning these feasts of Yehovah and how, I believe, they all relate to the coming last days. If you can help clarify or correct my thoughts, with scripture, I would be delighted to look at alternative ideas and understandings. This is simply where I am currently at, but I am always refining my ideas. I welcome sincere questions and comments.

Ah. So it’s based on Mt. Sinai modeling that you believe the 144,000 will be sealed. I suppose there’s also a vague precedence of ‘sealing’ with the Holy Spirit (Rauch Ha’Kodesh) on the apostles at Pentecost.
This is very interesting, indeed. I have never heard such a teaching, but it makes sense. The timing is the only issue I’m having, now… will meditate and pray on it more.
Can you please explain more about how ger become ezrach? You say that it is by taking part in Passover and circumcision. Is this a physical circumcision or spiritual (as spoken of by Paul), and a Passover meal, or partaking of Christ who fulfilled Passover? I hope this is not a stupid question – I am new to this. Thank you.
I agree! Yeshua could HAVE NOT had the Passover and been the Passover at the same time! Many have not agreed with this. But TORAH clearly states that you can only have one passover a year. Enjoy your thoughts and learned some “pieces of the wonderful puzzle” YHWH has placed before us. What a beautiful love story!
Thank you Stephanie for your many supportive and encouraging comments! They are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the beautiful illustrations of the Feasts Michael! I’m looking forward to the upcoming Fall Feasts!
When I read I Corinthians 3:1-2 above, it reminded me of Acts 15:20. We start somewhere as babes, but we are never meant to stay as just babes. We are to continually learn and grow in His word.
I like it!
I appreciate it!
That was a great study. Very good work. I enjoyed it.
Is this a Jewish site or a Christian site?
B Powers – You make my heart soar that you would ask such a question as this; 🙂 I consider myself an Israelite that teaches the same faith that Yeshua (Jesus) taught. My goal is follow only YHVH’s ways given to us through Moses and the Prophets, the narrow way, without turning to the left or the right.
Judaism, for the most part, adds to YHVH’s ways and Christianity generally, subtracts from them. Our safety is in following them alone.
I’m new to your site & am still exploring all of the teachings you have posted, but I enjoy the well thought out & simple explanations you offer! The adding of the ger & the ezrach to the Feast explanations added another dimension for me. The more I study the Feasts & walk them out, the more I learn! Thank you! I’m definitely intrigued, & returning again! Have a good week! Cindy
I was looking for a new Hebrew calendar and look what I found! There are perspectives here I have not heard before, very interesting. Is this page from a Messianic Jewish stance with a Seeing perspective, or non-Seeing perspective? Just trying to understand. Regardless, I hope to come back to see what is written here.
Thanks for the comment R,
I’m not sure what you mean when you say “Is this page from a Messianic Jewish stance with a Seeing perspective, or non-Seeing perspective?” I’m not Jewish and do not adhere to their teachings. Many “see” what they “think” is a “Messiah” text in Torah and the prophets, while in reality Yehovah is speaking of His son, Israel. I see Israel as the “plural he”, spiritually born, Ezrach men.
Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says Yehovah, “Israel is My son, My firstborn. So I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, indeed I will kill your son, your firstborn.” ‘ ” (Exo 4:22-23)
None of Jacobs seed left Egypt until after Passover. Passover is the time that the spiritual man is born and his sins are forgiven him.
At one time I called myself a Christian, went to a Christian College and taught in a Christian school, but after almost 20 years of the study of Yehovah’s actual words (these are words that start or ends with “thus says Yehovah”, like in the verse above) and finally finding how a man is “saved” in Torah, I have come to the conclusion that we have indeed learned lies (worthless and unprofitable things).
I have written a series of articles that debunk much of what I thought was truth in Christianity, but came to find that Yehovah’s words did no agree with any of my Christian precepts. You can find the introduction to these articles here. “
.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Warm Regards,
Michael
