The Lunar Sabbath started popping up a few years ago and is simply NOT supported in the scriptures.

The Lunar Sabbath Violates Yehovah Unchanging Word And Rhythm

6 days you shall work!

Yehovah, in His 4th commandment said,

SIX days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah your Elohim. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days Yehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. (Exo 20:9-11)

His rhythm is, and has always been,

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Sabbath
This, is, Yehovah’s, eternal, and, unchanging, rhythm!

The Sabbath rest for the land and the jubilee years also incorporate this same rhythm.

In the Lunar Sabbath perspective, the 1st day is a Sabbath, not the 7th! So its Sabbaths are the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and the 29th day of each month. Augh! That means in a 29 day month there is a 2 day weekly Sabbath and in a 30 day month, a one day work week. Double augh!

New moon / Sabbath (1st), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Sabbath (8th), 8, 10 ,11, 12 ,13, 14
Sabbath (15th), 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
Sabbath (22nd), 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28
Sabbath (29th), and an extra day of work in a 30 day month
New moon / Sabbath (1st), 2 ,3 ,4 ,5, 6, 7

There are no 1 day work weeks and there are no 2 day “weekly” Sabbaths. Thus the Lunar Sabbath has a week that is screwed up every month.

Are we to believe that the Jews (Judah) who so carefully preserved the scriptures for the world has somehow  forgotten what day the Sabbath is? Father has ALWAYS had a remnant that has served only Him. I have not heard them crying the alarm in past centuries. Many countries do not even use the word Saturday, instead from the beginning of time, they use different forms of the word “Sabbath.

 

The Lunar Sabbath Does Not Work With Either Of  Yehovah’s First Fruit Days

Determining the Passover first fruits day does not work. Yehovah says,

Speak to Israel’s seed, and say to them: When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. He shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. (Lev 23:10-11)

In the Lunar Sabbath perspective it would always fall on the same day, the day after the Sabbath or the 16th of Aviv. If that were the case why didn’t Yehovah make that a firm date, instead of saying “the day after the Sabbath“?

In Leviticus 23:15-16 Yehovah gives us two ways to find Shavuot, and both ways must come up with the same day! [This counting also begins from the nondescript “day after the Sabbath.”]

And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to Yehovah. (Lev 23:15-16)

The First is. “And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.”

And the second is. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to Yehovah. (Lev 23:15-16)

Again, both of these ways for determining Shavuot MUST come up with that same day!

Lunar Sabbath Does Not Line Up With Yehovah’s Kor-vawn (His Offerings)

In Numbers 28 and 29 Yehovah, through Moses, gives Israel’s seed ( perversely known as “the children of Israel) His Ezrach men, all His instructions concerning what they are to bring to Him at His appointed times.

If in the Lunar Sabbath viewpoint we are to have a Sabbath on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29 day of each month. How come when Yehovah gives Israel seed their instructions concerning what korvawn we are to bring at His moeds, there is no mention of a Sabbath Korvawn on the 15th day of the 1st month, 15th day of the 7th month and the 22nd day of the 7th month? The reason is that these days are not necessarily weekly Sabbaths. In the second video below I discuss Numbers 28 and Numbers 29. You will see yet another problem with this despicable Lunar Sabbath once again.

The Lunar Sabbath does not work in Yehovah’s eternal and unchanging instructions and I would encourage folks to toss out this false idea and come back into the light of Yehovah’s eternal and unchanging word.
