How often have I seen on the walls of my dear Facebook friends the words or logo stating “I Support Israel!“? Supporting Israel is a good thing, for only they are Yehovah’s (the LORD’s) chosen people. So I have to say that “I Support Israel” also and have a day each week set apart to pray for us, in particular.
The challenge is that few people truly understand who Israel really is. Yehovah’s people can be divided into two groups; the stranger(Ger) and those born in the land (Ezrach). Both of these groups are citizens of Israel and keep only the Father’s ways. The Ger and the Ezrach are the topics of parts 4 & 5 of the Born Again series on this blog.
You shall have one law [Torah] for him who sins unintentionally; for him who is native-born (Ezrach) among Israel’s seed (perversely known as “the sons of Israel”) and for the strange (Ger) who dwells among them. But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born (Ezrach) or a stranger, (Ger) that one brings reproach on Yehovah, and he shall be cut off from among his people. (Num 15:29-30)
But the man [speaking of the Ezrach] who is clean and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the Passover, that same person shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of Yehovah at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin. And if a stranger (Ger) dwells among you, and would keep Yehovah’s Passover, he must do so according to the rite of the Passover and according to its ceremony; you shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger (Ger) and the native of the land (Ezrach).’ ” (Num 9:13-14)
And when a stranger (Ger) dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to Yehovah, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be[come] as a native of the land (Ezrach). For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. One law shall be for the native-born (Ezrach) and for the stranger (Ger) who dwells among you.” (Exo 12:48-49)
The majority of the people who are in Israel’s land now are not the people described in the above verses. I make a distinction between the STATE OF ISRAEL and what I call True Israel. ISRAEL the STATE are those who follow the laws of a man-made government with its statutes, judgments and ordinances and who trust in its diplomacy, Military Intelligence, tanks, ground to air missiles, planes, etc, etc, etc. In contrast, True Israel are those who have repented and are diligently learning and doing our heavenly Father’s statutes, judgments and ordinances and who trust in Yehovah God (Elohim)Â exclusively for all their provisions and safety.
The STATE of ISRAEL will not be able to stand in these coming last days because they do not do the things that are required of Yehovah’s people, True Israel. Saying you are Yehovah’s people and not obeying Him is taking His name in vain, and that can not be tolerated by Him because He also is righteous just as He expects us to be. Yeshua, quoting Isaiah, said;
“Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of Elohim, you hold the tradition of men – the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment[s] of Elohim, that you may keep your tradition. (Mar 7:6-9)
Because of their continual disobedience, ISRAEL the STATE is going down! We know that judgment always begins in the Father’s house; and in this case we are talking about the Father’s land.
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of Elohim; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of Elohim [by keeping only His ways]? (1Pe 4:17)
Yehovah said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple. (Eze 9:4-6)
There are many scriptures that speak of Israel and Jerusalem being overcome in the last days. And it may have been that Judah was allowed to return in their flesh, their own strength, just for a time as this according to Yehovah’s purpose.
Yehovah will set Rezin’s [the Assyrian’s] oppressors against Israel and will stir up its enemies, the Syrians before and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with an open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still. For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, nor do they seek Yehovah of hosts. Therefore Yehovah will cut off head and tail from Israel, Palm branch and bulrush in one day. The elder and honorable, he is the head; the prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err, and those who are led by them are destroyed. (Isa 9:11-16)
Behold, the day of Yehovah is coming, and your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. (Zec 14:1-2)
Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have despised the law of Yehovah, and have not kept His commandments. Their lies lead them astray, lies which their fathers followed. But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.” (Amo 2:4-5)
For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, because their tongue and their doings are against Yehovah, to provoke the eyes of His glory. The look on their countenance witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. (Isa 3:8-10)
Yehovah has promised to bring back ALL of Israel (including Judah) to their land in the last days but what Judah has done in coming early is like what Abram did in taking Hagar. He did not wait for the promise and ended up with Ishmael.
The Assyrian, the king of the north is coming. He is the rod and the ax in Yehovah’s hand, and he is the instrument of His wrath against those who take His name in vain by saying they are His people but not doing His will.
In my mind, and in the scriptures, I see that something has to precipitate the Assyrian’s attack, and the taking of Jerusalem, with the world’s approval. That something may be the destruction of Damascus at the hand of ISRAEL the STATE or perhaps a “false flag” perpetrated by the Assyrian against his own people to justify the taking of Land of Israel. I am guessing on the latter.
The following verse hints at the Assyrian spoiling Damascus, before the man-child / the Nation Born in a Day, can say ‘my father’ or ‘my mother.’ Many times there are multiple fulfillments to a given prophecy.
… for before the child shall have knowledge to cry ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be taken away before the king of Assyria.” (Isa 8:4)
For he [the Assyrian] says, ‘Are not my princes altogether kings? Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus? As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, Whose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?’ “Therefore it shall come to pass, when Yehovah has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” (Isa 10:8-12)
The taking of Jerusalem will not be a pretty sight; but Yehovah will preserve His faithful who are there, just as He will for all His faithful whom He is currently raising up throughout all the earth. Taking control of Jerusalem is just the start of the Assyrian’s role in Yehovah’s play or plan for these last days.
My [the Assyrian] hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, and as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth; and there was no one who moved his wing, nor opened his mouth with even a peep.” (Isa 10:14)
But the Assyrian is only a tool in the Fathers hand, just like Pharaoh, to turn His people back to Him.
Shall the ax boast itself against him who chops with it? Or shall the saw exalt itself against him who saws with it? As if a rod could wield itself against those who lift it up, or as if a staff could lift up, as if it were not wood! (Isa 10:15)
Please remember that this is how I currently see the last days playing out. Will it happen precisely as I see it? Of course not! But many of these components will be seen by Yehovah’s faithful who are following His script. By learning His plan we are all safer and able to walk in the spirit of prophecy just as Yeshua did.
