Divorce Remarriage – 1 of 4

Divorce and RemarriageWe Have Learned Lies Concerning Divorce Remarriage

Divorce remarriage is a topic that I am often asked about by men and women alike. And because of what my ex did in using the gods (elohim – lawmakers and judges) of this world to steal my children and my life, and then tried to make me into her slave, I ache at the thought of other families having to go through the pain which my children and I are still experiencing almost 20 years later. We have been taught lies!

Divorce Remarriage In The Commentaries

We have ignorantly and erroneously treated the new testament commentaries as scripture; and, as a result, there are now very few who understand how the Creator feels about divorce remarriage. When did we stop being like the good Bereans who listen to what anyone has to say and then search the scriptures that Yeshua, Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude all taught from?

Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Act 17:10-11

Yehovah’s Provisions For Divorce Remarriage Haven’t Changed!

Folks, there was no new testament when these men taught and even Yeshua is not allowed to deviate from the instruction which Yehovah gave through Moses.

You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your, Elohim which I command you. (Deu 4:2)

“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it. (Deu 12:32)

Every word of Elohim is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. (Pro 30:5-6)

I think we forget who it was that put together the new testament and who had control of it for over 1600 years. Our safety is always in conforming our lives to only the word given to us by Yehovah through Moses and His other Prophets.

To the Torah [Yehovah’s word given to Moses] and to the testimony [Yehovah’s words given to His other prophets]! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)

Divorce Remarriage

Divorce and RemarriageThe writings of Paul and even the supposed words of Yeshua would have us believe that a woman can divorce a man.

And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him. (1Co 7:13)

And if a woman divorces her husband …” (Mar 10:12)

But there is simply no precedent in Torah for a woman, any woman free or slave, leaving her man. In Yehovah’s kingdom there are no uncovered women running around His streets. The very idea that a woman can leave her master, her man, flies in the face of what Yehovah created the woman for. She is to be an aide suitable! Adam calls her “bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh;” she is he! The flesh always obeys its head and Yehovah gives no provision for the flesh to choose to leave of its own accord.

Never Counsel Divorce Remarriage

You pastors, rabbis, counselors and others who are encouraging women to leave their men will pay a high price for the wickedness that you are promoting. This is just one more way that you are destroying families and scattering Yehovah’s flock.

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says Yehovah. Therefore thus says Yehovah, Elohim of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says Yehovah. (Jer 23:1-2)

Divorce Remarriage in Torah

In contrast, a man who is married to a woman who will not follow and obey only him is permitted to give her a bill of divorce and send her away from him. Flesh that will not follow the head is of no value to the head and causes the head to sin, because she is he. Deuteronomy is the only place in Torah that discusses a man giving a woman a bill of divorce and then sending her away.

“When a man takes a woman and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanness in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house … (Deu 24:1)

Yehovah’s commandments were given to His spiritual seed (perversely know as “the children of Israel”); they are then to teach His ways to their own women, children and servants and finally the the stranger (the ger – men) who dwell with them. Yehovah’s directive to the woman (Chavvah, aka eve) was that “her man” shall rule over her, not Yehovah!

To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth sons; your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” (Gen 3:16)

A woman who will not follow her man, her master, her head has no place in Yehovah’s kingdom and no standing before Him. Many will think that what I am teaching here is simply male chauvinism. But to think that of me would only further demonstrate their profound ignorance of Yehovah’s word and ways. A woman never goes into the temple or comes before Yehovah unless she has left her covering. The first time Yehovah had words with Chavvah was after she had disobeyed her head and was in trouble.

Receiving a bill of divorce in Yehovah’s kingdom is a mark of profound shame for a woman; it is evidence of her willful, disobedient, self-seeking attitudes and actions. Instead of assisting her husband with his dreams and desires and encouraging him to pursue righteousness, she has sought only her own dreams and desires. This is what is taught in the broad road and where most woman are today. This rebellion to her god-given authority is why the divorce rate is higher today than it has ever been and why more than 70% of all divorces are initiated by the woman. Augh!

Many will read these word and angrily reply that they are not in Yehovah’s kingdom. My answer is that they are correct, they are NOT dwelling in heaven but rather on earth. When Yeshua was asked when the kingdom of heaven would come he replied,

“The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘look there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of Elohim is within you.” (Luk 17:20-21)

The kingdom of Elohim is in you only if you live according to His instructions; His created purpose for a man and a man’s woman. My goal is not to make a women a slave to her man, but rather to set her free to serve only him; as a man must humble himself and serve only Yehovah, so a woman must learn to humble herself and serve only her man as Yehovah commanded. I seek always to reconcile marriages and especially to save marriages by promoting the life-giving relationship between a man and his woman as they both learn and do their respective duties and responsibilities in His kingdom.

We have learned many lies and many of the new testament commentaries concerning divorce remarriage have been perverted by those who had control of them for almost 2,000 years. Our safety is always in learning and doing only the words given to us through Moses and Yehovah’s other prophets.

I still have so much more to say concerning divorce remarriage but this is getting long and will have to wait until part 2.

In Divorce Remarriage Part 3 we I will discuss what the New Testament commentaries have to say about this subject. And in Divorce Remarriage Part 4 I discuss the predicament the woman (who left her man or has been put away by him) finds herself in. Alone and uncovered!

Finally, here is my audio teaching for Deuteronomy 24:1-4 about divorce remarriage.
