The “Who are benai Israel?” blog continues here.
The words בנים (benim – sons) the plural of בנ (ben – son) and בני (benai, multi-generational seed) NEVER include women. This is a very difficult concept to comprehend without understanding the differences between men and women in the scriptures and understanding who Yehovah’s commandments were actually given to.
Beginning with Adam and Chavvah (Eve) the birth of a woman is rarely even recorded unless she is going to give birth to a significant male. A woman can be joined to a בני through marriage and the two do become one flesh.
The word בני is always used with a proper noun and can be singular or plural, is not exclusive to the male seed of Israel, but is in fact used for all nations; there are Heth’s בני (seed), Ammon’s בני (seed) and Edom’s בני (seed) to give just a few examples.
“And the Heth’s בני seed answered Abraham, saying to him,” (Gen 23:5)
All males born to a בני (benai) are his בנ (ben – son in the singular) or his בנים (benim – sons in the plural),
“After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had בנים (sons) and daughters.” (Gen 5:4)
“If his master has given him [his male servant] a woman, and she has borne him בנים (sons) or daughters, the wife and her children [the word here is ילד (yelad) as offspring, this word can include both men and women] shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.” (Exo 21:4)
“And Yehovah passed before him and proclaimed, ‘Yehovah, Yehovah Elohim (lawmaker, judge) (God), merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their בנים (sons) and their בני (seed’s) בנים (sons) to the third and the fourth generation’.” (Exo 34:6-7)
“She conceived again and bore a בנ (son), and said, ‘Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three בנים (sons)’ Therefore his name was called Levi.” (Gen 29:34)
Benai Israel Is Spiritual Seed
But this word בני (benai) has an additional aspect that makes it very special. The above examples talks about the בני of the flesh. But בני can also have a spiritual component; for “benai Israel” can also give birth to “benai Israel”. These בני are the spiritual and literal sons of Yehovah and when these men take a woman, their women become the daughters of Yehovah. This is where my “Born Again” series will help us understand the difference between the Ger (the one who has joined himself to Yehovah’s Ezrach (born in the land), benai Israel (spiritual seed).
The Ger (always a man) becomes and Ezrach, benai Israel as a result of circumcising himself and all the men of his household and then keeping the Passover. Interestingly enough, what we call the Passover was originally called the “time of life” in Genesis 18; this is the very day that Isaac, the spiritual son of Abraham was born. Go figure! Yehovah is amazing!
“Is anything too hard for Yehovah? At the appointed time, למועדH4150(the moed) I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son [on that very day].” (Gen 18:14)
“But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this למועדH4150 (moed – set time) next year.” (Gen 17:21)
Incidentally, the time of life was also the very day that Isaac was to be killed by his father Abraham, but Yehovah provided a ram in his place on Mount Moriah.
“Then He said, ‘Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you’.” (Gen 22:2)
“And Abraham said, ‘My son, Elohim will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.’ So the two of them went together.” (Gen 22:8)
“And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of Yehovah it shall be provided.” (Gen 22:14)
Are you excited as I am yet? Now look at this!
The following two verses speak to me personally as I no longer have a woman and especially after my own בנים (sons) and daughter were stolen from me by the elohim of this world.
OK, this is what I told you about. Are you ready? Here it is!
The benai Israel (spiritual seed) can birth benai Israel (spiritual seed) without a woman even being involved! My fleshly wife left me because she did not like the way my life was going in respect to my walk with Yehovah; and she did that after I had a vasectomy to please her desire to not have any more בנים (sons) and daughters. Without Yehovah’s intervention and a Torah compliant woman (I won’t make that horrid mistake again), I have no way to have any more בנים (sons) and daughters, it would seem. But, by Yehovah’s spirit I have already had dozens, and with each Passover I add more spiritual בנים (sons) and daughters to my life!
“The בנים [spiritual seed] you will have, after you [this is the man already born in the land] have lost the others, will say again in your ears, ‘The place is too small for me; give me a place where I may dwell.’ Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has begotten these for me, since I have lost the others and am desolate, a captive, and wandering to and fro? And who has brought these up? There I was, left alone; but these, where were they?’ Thus says my Master, Yehovah; ‘Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the peoples; they shall bring your בנים in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders’.” Isa 49:20-22
“Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the בני (seed) of the desolate than the בני(seed) of the married woman,” says Yehovah.” (Isa 54:1)
Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him for new בנים and daughters! We serve a great Elohim!
In conclusion:
We enter into grave error when we begin to use what seems right to us in trying understand what Yehovah is saying. We can not be arbitrary in how we translate His words. To make “בנים” or “בני“, “children” is the beginning of a never-ending spiral of error and self-deception. The Creator has chosen His words carefully and we had better pay attention. Here is a great example of what I am talking about.
And Aaron’s sons (בני, seed, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your generations. (Num 10:8)
And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children (בני, seed) of Israel [Israel’s seed].” (Exo 19:6)
in these two verses both words are בני, but one is translated as sons and the other as children. How capricious is that? If this is acceptable, why not let women become priests also by changing both words to children? Many already live that way anyway. How many denominations have women serving as pastors, evangelists and the like already?
When Yehovah talks about bringing out benai Israel from all the places that He has scattered them, He is talking about the SPIRITUAL MEN, men who have eaten the Passover and become as ones “Born in the land“, “Ezrach“; but these men will also have women and children, widows, orphans and Strangers (Ger) that are included with them and under their authority. But it is ALWAYS spiritual men that Yehovah is talking to when He addresses Benai Israel, not women!
Yehovah’s seed, benai Israel, is even more clearly seen in Yehovah, “your Elohim.”
Hello Michael,
Oh my goodness were can I even begin, what an Amazing YHWH (God) we indeed serve. And has given to us brothers and sisters whom He has given much wisdom, to find His treasures from His Word, and share/teach with others. And may we who have ears to hear, and eyes to see, what the Spirit is saying.
I am so joyful in reading this, for after the tassels teaching went back into His Word. And it was the Father showing me, that He created male and female. Sons and Daughters are written about, He was specific about it. This got my attention, and indeed brought joy into my spirit. But because I am just learning, it was a huge piece from YHWH (God).
Wrote scriptures down, and re-read about the differences, when Yah would talk to the son/sons of Israel.
And here is something, which I have not found the scripture for it yet, but was put into my spirit in search about this subject. (It is written in the Torah)
There are laws given unto the sons/men only to keep. And for women/daughters to keep what is given to them only.
Anyhow, sorry I got carried away writing. Many thanks, for this is like the continuation of what I have been seeking the Father on. And He has given me so much, and I for one very thankful to Him and you!
Could not have said it better Ingrid! Everyday with YHWH is sweeter than the day before… I know I must slow down, that I might digest this, but I am so EXCITED about this word that is being taught by Michael! FINALLY! A place I can go where I don’t have to wonder if the true word of YHWH is being spoken! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, YHWH, for sending this man into our lives!
O.k–O.k. You’ve convinced me, as a woman I should not wear TzitTzit, but what about the Tallit? I see the women of the tribe in India “The B’neh Manashe” wearing tallits over their heads as veils/scarfs. I wear a Tallit at home–I am single—I’m wearing it right now!….Lilly, Ocala,FL
Thanks Lilly! I encourage everyone to only do what they find in Moses and the Prophets. If we are to be YHVH’s perfect light in the world let’s make it as bright as possible by not adding to or subtracting from His unchanging and eternal ways!
“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Deu 4:1-2)
Lilly, where does it say for us to wear tallits? Are men even supposed to wear tallits or is this another tradition? I have seen many pictures of Yahushua (well, supposed to be Yahushua…I think this is NOT something people should be doing…putting up pictures of men on their walls that they dont even know) having the head bowed and covered with a tallit… Michael, can you shed some “light” please. 🙂
I do not wear a tallit since it is not in the scriptures. I believe that if I were to wear one I would only be leading people in the false ways of Judaism. We are not allowed to add or subtract from YHVH’s ways given to us through Moses and the prophets. I want to be a perfect light for Him!
Amen…
Better than silver and gold..are your Words of Life…
Thank you so much Michael…..it is so refreshing to have sound word and clarity…
Amein sisters…Thank you, I love to read your thoughts and am blessed by you all….
Always Rita
Wow! This is so amazing! I just couldn’t get it before, but I see it now. Thank you for all your study time that you put into every thing. Praise YAH.
Spent more time (word by word) today, & it is amazing what can “pass by us” when we don’t MAKE ourselves slow down enough to truly absorb what Yehovah is telling us!
Hi Michael, I see so many women responding to Yahweh. Where are His sons? It maybe Yahweh’s choice to choose men over women to be spiritual leaders but here in the world/Babylon I see very few sons stepping up to the plate. In churches and assemblies, I see mostly women (apart from a small few who are still in partial blindness).
In regard to other articles about marriage, it appears that many husbands of today do not follow our heavenly Father or His Torah. Sadly I see few men offer very little in way of a covering for their believing wives. If the believing wife is equally guilty for the sins of her unbelieving husband (if I understood you correctly) then they should all be bailing out of their marriages before its too late???
Thanks for your note Gail and for reading so much of my work yesterday.
We live in a world that is twisted. Men and women have lost their way. Our women are taught to act like men and are controlled by a Jezebel spirit and our men have been emasculated. But right now, Yehovah is raising up His righteous men and also the woman of value who will come to them for safety.
I hate living in a world that calls evil good and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness. But all this is as Yehovah said it would be in these last days.
As for My people, suckling babies are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.” (Isa 3:12)
It troubles me that you would think a woman is somehow better off to leave her man. That is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire where destruction is inevitable. My goal is always to bring a woman back to her rightful covering. It is the wicked woman that is following her wicked man who will get what he gets. But a woman who understands that she is laying down her life in service to her man (whether he is righteous or not) in obedience to Yehovah, is a woman who is learning to become a woman of value. She will be preserved. By leaving her master she cut off that process. I am always reminded of Abigail who was married to wicked Nabal, but was still willing to stand in the gap, even take his punishment, for her man, her master.
Let me be so bold again to say, “A woman without a man in her life has no relationship with Yehovah.” Noah’s wife was not preserved because she walked with Elohim (Noah’s lawmaker and judge), she was preserved because she walked with her el (Noah).
If you have not read my 3 part series called “adoni = ‘my master’” you might want to check it out. You will see that a woman NEVER calls Yehovah her adon, her master.
Perhaps we can talk sometime. I am “israelite777” on Skype.
Michael
Thank you for the knowledge and understanding you provide.
