Perversions In Deuteronomy?

perversions in deuteronomy. errors in deuteronomyOh my! – I am amazed at all the perversions  in Deuteronomy which I have found this week starting in chapter 12 and continuing in 14, 15 and now, even 16. Perversion in Deuteronomy concerning what is done with the first fruits that comes from Israel’s seed (perversely known as “The children of Israel”), their tithe, their firstborn, their male and female servants and more. This is appalling.

In our 2 1/2 year journey through Torah we have found many mistakes; not mistakes in the English translations which are far too numerous to even count. No, I am talking about mistakes in the Hebrew.

Today as we went through chapters 14 and 15 we found even more perversions in Deuteronomy; and I have to say that I am distraught to find such blatant discrepancies in Torah.

Let me give you an example of just one of a half-dozen of these perversions in Deuteronomy that I found.

Perversions In Deuteronomy Concerning Israel’s Tithe And Firstborn

Who is to receive Israel’s tithe?

The tithe from Israel’s seed comes from the increase of the land and the increase of the herd (cattle) and flocks (goats and sheep) which come from Yehovah; it is not earnings, it is about giving back to Him a portion of what He gave us.

Concerning the tithe of the land Yehovah says this.

Perversions in DeuteronomyAnd all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is Yehovah’s. It is holy to Yehovah. (Lev 27:30)

Lev 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to Yehovah.(Lev 27:32)

For the tithes of Israel’s seed, which they offer up as a present to Yehovah, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I have said to them, ‘Among Israel’s seed they shall have no inheritance.'” Then Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: ‘When you take from Israel’s seed the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall offer up a present of it to Yehovah, a tenth of the tithe. And your present shall be reckoned to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor and as the fullness of the wine-press. Thus you shall also offer a present to Yehovah from all your tithes which you receive from Israel’s seed, and you shall give Yehovah’s present from it to Aaron the priest. (Num 18:24-28)

Who gets Israel’s bek-ore; their first-born males that open the matrix?

“Everything that opens the womb of all flesh, which they bring to Yehovah, whether man or beast, shall be yours [the priests] nevertheless the firstborn [בכור, bek-ore] of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. And those redeemed of the devoted things you shall redeem when they are one month old, according to your valuation, for five shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. But the firstborn of a cow, the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and burn their fat as an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to Yehovah. And their flesh shall be yours, just as the wave breast and the right thigh are yours. (Num 18:15-18)

Now look at this portion of Nehemiah, everything said in it is dead-on and in agreement with what we just read.

And we made ordinances to bring the first-fruits of our ground and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of Yehovah; to bring the firstborn of our sons and our beasts [behemah], as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks, to the house of our Elohim, to the priests who minister in the house of our Elohim; to bring the first-fruits of our rough meal, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our Elohim; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities. And the priest, the descendant of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall bring up a tenth of the tithes to the house of our Elohim, to the rooms of the storehouse [this is what the priests eat from] (Neh 10:35-38)

This is how everything flows in Yehovah’s kingdom. The Levites receive the tithe of the land and the herd and the flocks, and then gives a tenth of that tithe to the priests.

But now look at what this perversion in Deuteronomy says.

You [Israel’s seed] shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. And you shall eat it before Yehovah your Elohim, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear Yehovah your Elohim always. (Deu 14:22-23)

I’m sure! What rubbish have we been fed and accepted as truth! We are supposed to eat the tithe which belong to the Levites and the firstborn which belongs to the priests? Augh, it sickens me to read something like this. Look at another perversion in Deuteronomy 12.

You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or your new wine or your oil, of the firstborn of your herd or your flock, of any of your offerings which you vow, of your freewill offerings, or of the heave offering of your hand. But you must eat them before Yehovah your Elohim in the place which Yehovah your Elohim chooses, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before Yehovah your Elohim in all to which you put your hands. (Deu 12:17-18)

Are we to understand that Yehovah has changed His mind and that now, once we are in the land, we do not give anything to the priests and the Levites? They will starve!

According to these perversions in Deuteronomy we only have to store up the tithe of the land within our gates for the Levite, the widow, the fatherless and the Ger who dwells with us, at the end of the 3rd year (whatever that means). And when does Yehovah ever talk about a Levite living within any of Israel’s gates?

You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you. “At the end of the third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger [the Ger] and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that Yehovah your Elohim may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do. (Deu 14:27-28)

Well this is just a small part of the perversions in Deuteronomy which we found today. To discover the rest you will have to listen to this lesson.

So much to learn, so little time!
