Understanding Jurisdiction

This is part 9 in a series of blogs which discuss “Coming Out” of Babylon.

It was the year 2000. I had been self-employed through the selling of advertising in a little TV guide which I produced and distributed to the high traffic stores in my local area for almost 10 years. I knew all the business owners and many of them had become friends. One such friend, Stephanie, was the operator of a watch store in a large strip mall. She was an unusual woman in that I often would come into her shop and hear her as she prayed fervently with her customers. I loved her boldness to proclaim YHVH’s, “God’s” word at that time, to all who came in.

My watch had recently quit on me so I decided to replace it at Stephanie’s shop. The one I picked out was way more that I had ever paid for a watch (over $100) but I felt I was getting something that would last. It did and I am still wearing it today, eleven years later. But now you must hear the rest of the story.

The state of Washington does not have an income tax but it does have a hefty sales tax which all state-run businesses are required to collect. But to my surprise Stephanie did not charge sales tax. When I asked how she could get away without collecting the tax she simply stated the her store was not a state business, it was a church created and operated shop. It was created by the ecclesia (aka – the church – the called-out ones) and acknowledged by the state of Washington. She said that her shop could do anything that any state corporation could do, but her shop was not regulated by state statutes; it was regulated by the church’s statues, judgments and ordinances.

Well, needless to say, after visiting hundreds of business over so many years this was intriguing to me; especially in the light (really, darkness) of what I had learned about all the governments of men. Stephanie had chosen to run her life under a different jurisdictional authority; one which I have now come to understand as the Commonwealth of Israel. Woo Hoo, I was interested!

Jurisdiction
JURISDIC’TION, n. [L. jurisdictio; jus, juris, law, and dictio, from dico, to pronounce.]

1. The legal power of authority of doing justice in cases of complaint; the power of executing the laws and distributing justice. Thus we speak of certain suits or actions, or the cognizance of certain crimes being within the jurisdiction of a court, that is, within the limits of their authority or commission. Inferior courts have jurisdiction of debt and trespass, or of smaller offenses; the supreme courts have jurisdiction of treason, murder, and other high crimes. Jurisdiction is secular or ecclesiastical. (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)

Therefore remember that you were once Gentiles in the flesh … being aliens from the commonwealth [government] of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (Eph 2:11-12)

Even at that time I loved my Father and took every chance I had to share what little knowledge I had with others (mostly the doctrine and traditions of men at that time). That day I decided that I was going to find out more about how I too could choose to live my life under the jurisdiction of only my heavenly Father.

The earth is YHVH’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Psa 24:1

For the kingdom is YHVH’s, and He rules over the nations. (Psa 22:28)

The gentleman that Stephanie put me in touch with, Glen, was then teaching some weekly seminars in a town 20 miles away, so I made a point to attend the last three before they were discontinued. The talk I remember most was the one discussing jurisdiction. The restaurant we were meeting at was just off the interstate highway and Glen explained that the highway was a multi-jurisdictional thruway on which many jurisdictions traveled. Those jurisdictions included military, federal, tribal, and the one most people choose, really by default just as I did, state jurisdictional authority! But the jurisdictional authority that I had never considered or even heard about until this time was ecclesiastical.

I understood that tribal populations could do things that residents of the state could not and that if someone joined the military there were many more restrictions on them than there were on state residents. And that under maritime jurisdiction the captain of the ship was in complete authority.

At that point in my life I was still a resident of the state by virtue of the covenants that I had made with them; covenants like my driver’s license, business license, marriage license, concealed weapons permit, credit card applications, bank account applications, voter registration and so much more! I was a slave to a jurisdictional authority that I did not consciously choose.

For thus says YHVH: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.” (Isa 52:3)

I simply fell into this jurisdiction by doing what everyone else did but I began to understand that this was the broad road which leads to destruction. We have been taught to render to Caesar the things that are his but no one ever taught me how to render everything to YHVH or even told me that I had that option. “Oh Father, I have always wanted to serve only you!” We have learned and followed lies.

Even the Declaration of Independence says that,

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. — That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed

To which jurisdiction do we the people of Elohim, the Creator of the everything, give our consent? To a government of men or the government of Elohim! I found that I was claiming I lived under ecclesiastical authority by saying “I’m serving my God” but in reality I was serving only men and lived exclusively under the authority of the secular powers of this world. I was a hypocrite, something had to change in my life. I did not even know my Father’s statutes, judgments or ordinances. How could I really be serving Him?

From that time on I decided to make my true choice, concerning whom I shall serve, a deliberate one by choosing my Father’s jurisdiction on purpose and I started severing all the covenants which I had with the world one by one.

Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her [Babylon], be clean, you who bear the vessels of YHVH. For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for YHVH will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. (Isa 52:11-12)

I wanted, and would settle for nothing less, than being 100% my Father’s servant and His ambassador in the world; and I saw from the verse above that YHVH would lead me and protect me.

“Now therefore, fear YHVH, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods [lawmakers and judges] which your fathers served on the other side of the river [Ur] and in Egypt. Serve YHVH! And if it seems evil to you to serve YHVH, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites [put in your government], in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve YHVH.” (Jos 24:14-15)

The first thing I did was “lose” my state driver’s license and then obtained a new one which I signed “Under Duress.” I signed it that way because I did not want it and believed that if did not have it I would be put in jail. I have found no downside to having a driver’s license signed under duress; most people overlook how it is signed when it is used for ID and the important ones, if they are smart, know they can’t use it as an adhesion to their jurisdiction. Note anything signed “under duress” is not legally binding; you can read more about that in my next blog.

The last thing I did, as far as driving was concerned, was apply for and obtain an ecclesiastical driver’s license and passport from the Embassy of Heaven. I know that even the name sounds weird to the uninformed but all the Embassy does is record keeping. For over 25 years they have recorded the public testimony of YHVH’s people who have chosen to serve only Him and then issued ecclesiastical documents in accordance with their testimony. The declaration on my applications for an ecclesiastical driver’s license and passport went something like this.

I declare that I am baptized in the name of Yeshua and am a citizen of the Kingdom of God. I give my allegiance to Yeshua, the son of God. I will obey the Supreme Law of the kingdom of God as stated in Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love YHVH thy God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” and “You shall love your neighbor as thyself” (Leviticus 19:18) And should a difference of policy arise with those whom I associate with, I will always defer to the instructions given by Moses as did Yeshua throughout his entire life. I renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty whatsoever and to the world itself.

Over the next five years I was stopped four times. Each time I gave them the invalid and “under duress” state license and the valid ecclesiastical one. And do you know what they said every time?

“Have a nice day Mr. Didier, drive carefully.”

Well, that is how my journey began; and since that time I have voluntarily surrendered my “under duress” state driver’s license when I left the country all together. Now I reside exclusively in my Father’s kingdom which, for the time being, shares jurisdictional authority with state and local “authorities.” I am now 100% my Father’s Ambassador and represent His kingdom at all times. In my next blog I will tell you a story that solidified my position forever in my Father’s kingdom.

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in YHVH shall be safe. (Pro 29:25)

    That’s wild Michael. Tupper Saussy mentioned something similar in his book “Rulers of Evil”. Do you know of any Canadian counterparts? Obviously the Kingdom of Heaven is above all jurisdictions but do you know of any Canadians who have made the move yet?
