YHVH’s Sons Wear Tzitzit

The sons of Israel, among YHVH’s people, are commanded to wear tzitzit (tassels) on the corners of their garments.

Michael wearing Tassels Again YHVH spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of YHVH and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. (Num 15:37-41

“You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself. (Deu 22:12)

I have to admit that when I first saw this section of Torah that I was a bit concerned that I might look like a geek if I did as my Father commanded me. But my desire to follow my Father wholly in righteousness, and not the harlotry the which my own heart and my own eyes are inclined, won the decision for Him, and me in October of 2005.

Since that time I have become so accustomed to wearing tzitzit that I do not feel fully dressed if I do not have them on. They have presented many opportunities to share my Father’s word with others, and that, I always take advantage of.

Some of you brothers may be thinking, “I want to get married at some point, who is going to want to marry me if I am wearing tzitzit?” This is totally the wrong question to to be asking if you want to follow YHVH wholly. I am looking for women that will encourage me to follow my Father in all His ways; and a man and woman can become great together in YHVH’s kingdom with this kind of attitude. If we are to be our Father’s holy and called out people, we must be willing to stand on His word alone. That, is real faith; and faithful is the servant that does not worry about what others say or do, but only does what the Father asks!

Many ladies have asked if they too can wear tzitzit; oh, that we all would have that same beautiful mind-set towards our Father’s word. Let’s all become like these ladies and look for ways to obey our Father more fully, instead of trying to figure reasons why we can not obey Him. To these dear women my heart says “yes, yes, yes” but YHVH’s word says otherwise.

“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to YHVH your God. (Deu 22:5)

Here is a link to a blog on who the benai of Israel are. Please read it before you react to my last two paragraphs.

If a woman wears tzitzit, which YHVH told His “men” to wear, would she not be wearing that which pertains to a man? We are not allowed to add to YHVH’s word, and sons of Israel is not the same as daughters of Israel. This is actually my second writing of this blog and I had to turn my position concerning woman wearing tzitzit around 180 degrees after receiving a gentle correction from a woman who fears YHVH. This is why I wear tzitzit; to follow only YHVH’s ways and not the ways of my heart. Remember, my heart said, “yes, yes, yes” but YHVH’s unchanging and eternal words spoke differently.

I have been making sets (of 4) tzitzit for several years like the one pictured above; it takes me a little over 2 hours to make a set and I charge $25 per set which includes shipping. I particularly like this design because it reminds me of Israel (all twelve tribes) beginning together, then separating into the two houses and finally, YHVH bringing us all back together again in the last days. Making tzitzit is one of a few ways that I have found to keep myself fed and warm; and I would be very pleased if you were to order a set from me. To order a set of tzitzit please use the contact information on this blog to get in touch.

If you would like to make your own tzitzit, here is a video which describes how you can make a quick set for yourself. It is my hope and prayer that you will begin wearing tassels today. They will remind you to remember all the commandments of YHVH and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which our own heart and our own eyes are inclined. Yah’s peace to you!

How do I order a couple of sets of your fancy tied Tzitztit? Felt sorry for you over losing the money, but I also think it is time I wore them again. I wrote a bit of a lame excuse why I am not wearing them now, and feel foolish for it.

I have paypal, but no credit cards so it can be paid for by e-check if you like.

I have never been as firm as you regarding women and Tzitzit. First of all it is recorded that many women in history wore them. Ben Israel is quite possibly just linguistic gender agreement not meant to discriminate. Further more, it has been asserted by some that women were forbidden them because the purity they inspire had some women withholding sexual favours from their husbands, and that was the basis for the tradition becoming male only. It might be a bit of an urban legend, not certain, anyway both these sets I want to order are for me.

I so appreciate your support of my work. On every page of my blog is a little animated man pointing to a PayPal created link. This would probably be the easiest way to send funds. Please be sure to send me your address, either with the funds or in a separate e-mail.

If you prefer to send a money order or check, someone once sent silver, then please go to my “Contact Us” page and you will find my ministry address and name.

      Thanks Robert!

I have been told more than once that the word interpreted as “sons” in Hewbrew is acutally “children” and pertains to both men and women wearing tzitzit. It is not the Hebrew word for “male” but rather includes both male and female, and, therefore, both men and women are commanded to wear tzitzit. It is my understanding that the Rabbis made the distinction that only men are commanded to wear them.

    Shalom.

“I have been told more than once …”

      “It is my understanding …”

“the Rabbis made the distinction …”

Please! – let’s find out what the scriptures actually say. There is a reason why I ask people not to comment on this blog until they have read the next two concerning the “Sons of Israel” & “Son of Israel – More Light“. Too many people respond according to their scripturally unfounded beliefs which they have learned from their broad road pastors, teachers, rabbis, etc., but have never searched the scriptures to find out for themselves what they actually say.

O YHVH, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthlessness and unprofitable things.” (Jer 16:19)

    Michael..
This tying of the tzitzit was very interesting. I think that it is lovely how intricate you are in your detail and I agree with how you have done this. Toda Rabah to you my dear friend for your continued teaching of YHVH.
    Shalom Aleicehm

How awesome is this. I will be placing a order for my future husband, and learning how to make them myself. Thanks Michael. Shalom…
