40 Days of Repentance?

40 daysToday (August 24th, 2017)  is the 1st day of the 6th month according to Yehovah’s calendar. Judaism has this day as the beginning of a 40 day period of repentance leading up to the 10th day of the 7th month (expected to be Sunday, October. 1st) which is Yom Kippurim, the day of coverings (aka Day of Atonement). But where is this 40 days of repentance in the Torah? Doesn’t that bother anyone? Is this man-made period just another buffer set up in Judaism to protect the Torah by adding days? Is that allowed?

The Detoxification of Ephraim

I have lost some friends lately, gained other also, because of some of the writing that I have recently done that run contrary to the doctrines and traditions of many who even call themselves Torah keepers.
