Spirit Wisdom And The Rod Of His Mouth

spirit wisdomIn My Sabbath class it has taken us 3 years but we finished Deuteronomy this week and will finish the last few pages of the book of  Yasher next time. However, I still plan to go through the first 6 chapters of Joshua before we conclude this series. I want to cover those chapters in Joshua because I believe they help us to see what we can expect in the coming last days.

Just before we, Israel’s seed, began our conquest of the land of Canaan we circumcised all our males and then held a true Passover as  codified in Exodus 12; not a Seder, nor a communion service and certainly not a foot-washing service. We did what Yehovah commanded and then He fought with us.

Moses was the prophet who Yehovah used to bring Israel’s seed (with their families) out of Egypt the 1st time, and He will do it again.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “that it shall no more be said, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up Israel’s seed from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up Israel’s seed from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ ” (Jer 16:14-15)

But “the prophet like Moses” whom Yehovah will use to deliver those men who want to follow only Yehovah the second time is not a lone man; he is the plural he, Israel, Yehovah’s spiritual seed, His first firstborn. He is the nation who will be born in a day sometime in the near future. (Every year the men who comprise this nation grow, and it is just a matter of time before Yehovah has all the Ezrach he needs to deliver His people from their bondage.)

This week we saw that Joshua took the place of Moses because Moses disobeyed Yehovah and “hit” the rock with Yehovah’s rod, instead of “speaking to it.” I think this miracle was to be performed by Moses’ lips alone because Yehovah was setting up a shadow picture of the 2nd great Exodus and He does not have a rod for each one of His set-apart men in the last days.

At the end of Torah Joshua took over where Moses left off and it says that spirit wisdom was on him.

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of spirit wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so Israel’s seed heeded him, and did as Yehovah had commanded Moses. But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom Yehovah knew face to face, in all the signs and wonders which Yehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel. (Deu 34:9-12)

It appears to me that Joshua lacked the ability to talk to Yehovah face to face. The prophets like Moses who Yehovah is each Passover raising up will speak to Yehovah face to face because they have made “knowing Him” their sole ambition. We talked at length about how this last part Deuteronomy, this summation of Torah, relates to Isaiah 11 which describes the prophet like Moses whom Yehovah is raising up in the last days. Men who have spirit wisdom and wield “the rod” of their mouth.

Spirit Yehovah shall rest upon Him, spirit wisdom and understanding, spirit counsel and might, spirit knowledge and of fear of Yehovah. His delight is in the fear of Yehovah, and he shall not judge by the sight of his eyes, nor decide by the hearing of his ears; but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. He shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. (Isa 11:2-4)

Yehovah is described as spirit Elohim in Genesis 1 and it is this spirit which will rest upon all of His servants (men) in the coming last days. I wrote a series of articles about knowledge, understanding and wisdom and found it interesting that those 3 were here also; but what impressed me most was the foundation for it all. What is the foundation? The fear of Yehovah! And truly the fear of Yehovah IS the beginning of spirit wisdom.

Here I am!

here i amOne of the most beautiful compound words given through Moses and His prophets is the Hebrew word “hin-Ne-ni” [הנני] which is often translates as “Here I am!” For me, this is more than a physical acknowledgement of ones presence, it has with it the oneness of understanding and purpose.

Here I Am!

I found this word 177 times in the tanach (Genesis – Malachi) and, many times, it is said after Yehovah speaks to His called-out men. When Yehovah called to Abraham, Jacob, Samuel, each time their response was “Here am I” [hin-Ne-ni].

Now it came to pass after these things that Elohim [the lawmaker and judge] tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am [hin-Ne-ni].” (Gen 22:1)

Then the messenger of Elohim spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am [hin-Ne-ni].’ (Gen 31:11)

Then Elohim spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” And he said, “Here I am [hin-Ne-ni].” So He said, “I am Elohim, your father’s Elohim; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. (Gen 46:2-3)

Before the lamp of Elohim went out in the tabernacle of Yehovah where the ark of Elohim was, and while Samuel was lying down, that Yehovah called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am [hin-Ne-ni]!” (1Sa 3:3-4)

When the spiritual man Israel, not Jacob, sent Joseph to check on the welfare of his brother, he too said “here I am [hin-Ne-ni].”

And Israel said to Joseph, “Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them.” So he said to him, “Here I am [hin-Ne-ni].” (Gen 37:13)

Now Moses speaks, as it were, face to face with Yehovah for the first time.

So when Yehovah saw that he turned aside to look, Elohim called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am [hin-Ne-ni].” (Exo 3:4)

Moses was Yehovah’s “sent one,” his “sha-Lach” to deliver His people out of Egypt.

Come now, therefore, and I will send you [ואשׁלחך] to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, Israel’s seed [and their families], out of Egypt.” (Exo 3:10)

In my recent article entitled “A prophet like Moses” I discuss who that prophet actually is who is like Moses. Moses, who answered when Yehovah called with the words “Here I am” is the one Yehovah used to deliver His people, Israel, the 1st time. The 2nd time will be even more amazing.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “that it shall no more be said, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up Israel’s seed from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up Israel’s seed from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. (Jer 16:14-15)

“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them [just like Moses did]; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says Yehovah. (Jer 23:3-4)

Yehovah through Isaiah also talks about those sent ones who will be like Moses. Yehovah is looking for these men even now. They are the dead bones that Yehovah breathes life into at Passover.

So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, Yehovah of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of my Master, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me! [hin-Ne-ni  she-la-Che-ni ]” (Isa 6:5-8)

This is my desire and this is my prayer, “Here I am, send me O Yehovah!

I believe we are not waiting on Yehovah to bring the millennial kingdom to fruition; He is waiting for a large group of men who are scattered throughout the earth; men just like Moses who rise up, leave the kingdom of their birth and then at Passover become His heirs, the seed of righteousness, His Ezrach men. I expect there will be about 144,000 of them, but who really knows for sure. I do know that when they are raised up and sealed by Yehovah as His shalachim, His sent ones, that we will all see eye to eye and know the heart of Yehovah just like Moses.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “your Elohim [your lawmaker and judge] reigns!” Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together; for they shall see eye to eye when Yehovah brings back Zion. (Isa 52:7-8)

Now here are the words that bring tears to my eyes every time.

“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yehovah shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and Yehovah will answer; you shall cry, and HE will say, ‘HERE I AM! (Isa 58:6-9)

A Prophet Like Moses

A prophet like MosesTwice in Deuteronomy we read that a prophet like Moses would be born.

“Yehovah, thy Elohim [thy lawmaker and judge], will raise up for thee a Prophet like me (a prophet like Moses) from thy midst, from thy brethren. Him you shall hear, according to all thou desired of Yehovah, thy Elohim, in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of Yehovah, my Elohim, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’
“And Yehovah said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you (a prophet like Moses) from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (Deu 18:15-19)

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so Israel’s seed heeded him, and did as Yehovah had commanded Moses. But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom Yehovah knew face to face. (Deu 34:9-10)

This prophet speaks Yehovah’s words in Yehovah’s name; no other words or names!

How else is this prophet like Moses?

Moses was born for a specific purpose. Just before he was born, Moses’ sister Miriam prophesied saying, a male-child would be born who would save Israel (not the Egyptians) from the hands of Egypt.

Yasher 68:1 And it was at that time the spirit of Elohim was upon Miriam the daughter of Amram the sister of Aaron, and she went forth and prophesied about the house, saying, Behold a male-child will be born unto us from my father and mother this time, and he will save Israel from the hands of Egypt.

And Israel was saved by the the mighty arm of Yehovah working through Moses. As I see it this “prophet” is the “seed of the woman” who was spoken of in the garden just before Adam (and his woman followed him) was kicked out of the garden by Yehovah.

And I will put enmity between you [Satan] and the woman [Yehovah’s spiritually born men], and between your seed [those who live their lives in the flesh] and her seed [the seed of spiritually born men]; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” (Gen 3:15)

Oh – we get so confused when we think in the flesh and ignore the things of the spirit. A woman has no seed! But the spiritual man is born of flesh AND spirit. This is the difference between those who dwell on the earth and those who dwell in heaven.

The Israel who was delivered from Egypt were the spiritually born men who were not allowed to leave until right after the Passover in which they became Ezrach, spiritually born, 2nd born men.

Ecclesiastes says,

That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. (Ecc 1:9-10)

Just like the male-child delivered Israel out of Egypt the first time, Continue reading A Prophet Like Moses
